I kept thinking Conti and Macii were second after the short because in my mind that's where they should've been, and I wondered why they were skating already before the Japanese. In the words of Miss Valentina, it doesn't make sense with my fantasy.

That twist exit was really millimeters from a crash that took them both down and likely a good 15-20 seconds to get it back together. I adore the team, I was their biggest cheerleader last year through their quick rise and their genuine excitement in all of it, but now I just find them a bit flat and ordinary.
