Interesting little tidbit: I learned from my contact that there are ISU judges and tech panel officiating at the FS events, one is from the USA. I don't know if it is the entire panel or intermixed with Chinese officials.

I know that Hulun Buir 20 hours ahead of Southern Calif, but with no streaming, I want to monitor scores once I awaken.

Junior Men now only has 16 skaters - Yihe Sun and Yihan Ren are not on the list.

Junior Women - Hengxin Jin is not on the list, Tat Ian I Fiona (representing Macau) has been added.

ETA: Wait... Just noticed that on both web pages the skater No. 9 is missing. And on the starting order pdf file (Jr. Men Jr. Women) Yihe Sun and Hengxin Jin are still listed.

So only Yihan Ren is not on the Jr. Men start list anymore and there are now 19 Jr. Women skaters with Tat Ian I Fiona (representing Macau) being added.

Some tidbits from Coach Sean Rabbitt in Hulunbuir:

• The current temperature (7 AM Thu Jan 18) is -19F. It will warm up to 0F but go back down to -28F overnight.
• The teams are in one hotel, officials in another. The teams are bussed from the hotel to the arena/rink with a POLICE ESCORT (pretty cool).
• Strict protocols are followed, similar to those found in Winter Olympics.
• Sean says the hotel rooms are nice and food in the team dining room is very good.
• 2023 Junior Mens Champion, Tian Tonghe is skating on a broken ankle, which he suffered after Chinese Nationals but prior to coming to the Chinese National Winter Games. It appears to be quite painful while practicing but he continues to persevere.

heh, is David's latest nickname "dvd"? That was pleasant. Guangdong likely to finish second here(!!), so hopefully he'll have more support next season.

Boyang went full clean on a one quad layout, great to see. Improvements in flow evident via this fanstream - need to see more improvement on posture and arms.
