Since we already have separate threads for 2024 ice shows in Japan, the Canadian Stars on Ice tour in April, and local club & benefit shows in the U.S., here's a thread for ice shows in Europe, including tours such as Holiday on Ice in France and Germany, etc.
Please feel free to post info (photos/videos from past shows this year, upcoming shows & broadcasts) and/or reviews if anyone attends a show.

Info on the French team tour this month is posted in the French news and updates thread: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/news-and-updates-à-la-française-part-quatre.107545/page-18#post-6583386

Kings on Ice (postponed from January) will be held in Tallinn, Estonia on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 - tickets: https://www.piletilevi.ee/est/piletid/muusika/kings-on-ice-2901-asendus-411328/
Ilia Malinin & Loena Hendrickx just filmed a brief promo video from the Japan SOI tour via Ari Zakarian: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5QSt3vL6xK/
Others shown on the original publicity poster: Adam Siao Him Fa (eta that the French team tour begins on April 9), Javier Fernandez, Aleksandr Selevko.

ETA link to Niina Petrokina’s April 3rd post that lists her and Lukas Britschgi in the principal group as well as Clement Pinel (FRA), Alexia Paganini (SUI), Polina Edmunds (USA), Phillip Warrren (FRA), Metelkina/Berulava (GEO), Mihhail Selevko (EST), Arlet Levandi (EST), Ignateva/Szemko (HUN).: https://www.instagram.com/p/C5TaoYpIIRd/

Interesting to see how Ilia pronounces his own last name - it's not how some commentators pronounce it. :shuffle:

Yes, that is interesting. Maybe more of an 'American' pronunciation than the Russian one? (I asked a Russian-born coach at my rink about the pronunciation and she said the accent is on the second syllable.)

Off topic, but for Ilia himself, the Americanized pronunciation of Malinin (with stress on first syllable) seems to be his default pronunciation, AFAIK.
I have heard Ilia use the Americanized pronunciation of Malinin many times online; as just one example, a link that I happened to save from end of 2022:
And when I (as just a random spectator) politely asked Ilia in person to pronounce his last name for me (in Lake Placid in 2022), he used the Americanized pronunciation of Malinin.

(I dislike that announcers/commentators often disregard Ilia's own pronunciation of Malinin.)

They may not be aware of how Ilia pronounces his last name, and use the same pronunciation that they used for Tatiana.

I usually try not to grumble about pronunciations from announcers/commentators.
But Ilia has been on the U.S. senior podium since 2022. At least for announcers/commentators based in the U.S., my opinion is that by now they should have made it their business to be sure how Ilia himself pronounces Malinin. For announcers/commentators in the U.S. who do not use Ilia's own pronunciation, either they have not bothered to check (and such complacency would be indefensible, IMO) or else they think it is fine to ignore Ilia's own pronunciation.
When they are making a direct reference to Ilia's mother, I would have no problem with Russian pronunciation.
But when they are making a direct reference to Ilia and focusing on him, I wish they would use Ilia's own pronunciation.

Sorry, Sylvia, I will stop hijacking your thread now.

Tatjana Flade has shared 4 photos from last night's KINGS ON ICE show in Tallinn:
Kings on Ice in Tallinn! A beautiful show and thanks to Ari Zakarian for bringing this event to Europe. The Tallinn ice holds many memories for some skaters. Here, Ilia Malinin debuted at Junior Worlds in 2020, finishing 16th and now he came back as World Champion. It was nice to see and hear violonist Edvin Marton again. Looking forward to seeing more of these shows in Europe! Discover some highlights in the carousel. More photos to come!
The skaters (Ilia, Loena, Lukas Britschgi, both Selevko brothers, Niina Petrokina, Arlet Levandi, Metelkina/Berulava, Alexia Paganini, Polina Edmunds, Philip Warren, Clement Pinel-who backflips while holding torches of fire!) have been sharing fans’ clips and photos in their Instagram stories.

L’APPRENTI SORCIER • 8+9 AUG 2024 • CHAMPÉRY, SWITZERLAND:
Absolute Skating article by @reut (April 29, 2024) about this show: https://www.absoluteskating.com/index.php?cat=articles&id=2024champerypromo
"From the start, we wanted to have the show recorded and broadcast, because we wanted as many people as possible to enjoy it despite the smaller venue," says Christopher Trevisan, the director of the Skating School. "We are in negotiations to stream and/or broadcast in Japan and in other parts of the world - not live but about a week later for logistical reasons. RTS will also be broadcasting at the end of the year. That being said, I don't need to explain how much better it is to experience skating live, so I would absolutely advise anyone who is able to travel to Champéry to go for it."
"Ticket sales start at noon (CEST) on May 1st [tomorrow]. The link will show up on the website of the festival." https://www.rencontres-musicales.ch/

ETA - Seating plan: https://twitter.com/ChrisTrevisan/status/1781572615112397275
"Platinum tickets can be purchased with an optional VIP package which includes an aperitif before the show and a buffet dinner after in the presence of some of the artists. The ticket with this option is CHF 250." https://twitter.com/ChrisTrevisan/status/1785216336445993332
