Nope - no sign, not even a flag (that was visible). Just a standing O like any nice Canadian
For this performance we were even joined in the standing O by the couple who wear American flag jackets but were waving a Canadian flag! [They were in my section, 120, and removed their flag jackets when then ventured out to the concourse.]

A friend on Twitter just observed that the NBC Sports YouTube videos of Ilia's FS and Chock/Bates's FD have been taken down. Given how popular Ilia's video in particular was, if there were copyright issues, I'd think they'd have found a way to work things out!

Just absolutely insane from NBC. Ilia's FS was still getting tons of views and comments daily. It was 3.2 million views at last check. This is the #1 thing that has killed popularity of FS in the USA in the last few years - it's just not accessible to watch even though the interest IS there and they have a star(s).

Thank you. I didn't realize it because there are so many links to things, even links from Instagram. I also found other videos on the two page links I shared including a video of Madison and Evan's Rhythm Dance from Madison Chock & Evan's YouTube channel. I figure it doesn't hurt anything to add more links and share because we never know when something else may be taken down because of copyright issues. So if we find something, share it by all means!

I'm not sure, but this happens all the time. YouTube blocked a video of mine because of the music in the background of a documentary with Michelle, Tara, Elvis and Todd I had shared. They forced me to delete my account (YouTube Channel) because of it.

A lot of times, figure skating videos are blocked because of the music rights when a skater uses a certain song. I had my YouTube channel for about 6 or 7 years before it happened. The music rights can either change to another company like Warner Bros., etc.

And that's when a skater's music can then be compromised by a copyright. YouTube then has to take action by blocking the video. YouTube used to just mute the video in case of music that was copyrighted. It happened a couple of times with two videos I shared from the 1995 Vail Skating Festival.

So this is more than likely the reason the majority of the time with NBC taking some videos down on YouTube. Just adding that I've noticed that some people's channels are just fine and have been up a long time. But I believe that's because the people with those YouTube channels have just been lucky so far.
