Yeah, I never want to see another Chaplin program again.
OTOH - these results are soooooooo effed up, it's going to be interesting to see what the JSF does for the Worlds and 4CCs assignments, lol.Yeah, I never want to see another Chaplin program again.
Nope! Can Shoma skate a perfect program? Everyone has made mistakes.
LMAO - nope. 1) Shoma had a commanding lead after the SP, 2) his TES blew away the rest of the field before it dropped off the screen. What a mess of a competition! Will Shimada win??!!
Whew. That would've been insane if Shimada had won.LMAO - nope. 1) Shoma had a commanding lead after the SP, 2) his TES blew away the rest of the field before it dropped off the screen.

Me, too! A long time coming! My sincere sympathy to everyone whose favorites flopped, but I do believe Kazuki's medal was a personal Christmas gift to me. Over the moon for him!
I think it's just the pressure of Japanese Nationals. A lot more on the line here, and a lot more contenders to face when things don't go perfectly. Can’t help but feel the gpf which is so near nationals took a toll on skaters
It was always planned as the 3 jump combination in the program, but he just hadn't been landing the first two jumps well enough to get the 3rd Axel done.Does Uno usually do a 3A+2A+2A? It looked liked something he threw in because he needed the points. He's real competitor that guy.
I'm glad I was able to watch both of Moriguchi's programs yesterday at least! He was the only man to have no negative GOEs for any jumps on his 5th place FS protocol sheet and landed 8 triples, including two 3As (~2 hours after skating a Senior Pairs FS!). Hopefully he'll get to make his senior international debut in singles in early 2023!I just wanted to give a shoutout to Sumitada Moriguchi. He had what looked like it was likely the skate of his life tonight. And if he is the same guy I remember from the short, he had an absolutely outstanding competition all around.
