I loved watching the gymnasts take selfies with each other after the comp, and a coach taking a pic of the gymnast near the bars, so sweet!

What more can be said about Simone?

Also super impressed with Suni. They are now the only Americans in a VERY select club of gymnasts who've been on Olympic AA podium more than once!

To be fair none of Simone’s programs last 5 min which is where Amber has issues the most (long program). She has better sp record

Absolutely true. And Simone doesn't have quite as much time to get in her head between the elements. But, I think she still has to cope with the ADHD.

I am still in awe of Suni and her nerves of pure steel when it counts the most. She showed this back in 2021. And she showed it again now that it wasn't a fluke. First, NAILING the FX in qualies to beat out Jordan for the AA spot, and then again on FX in AA finals to secure bronze over Alice! I have so many athletes I wish I could bottle this and serve it to lol.

Italian Fed may propose putting lines on the beam dismount map so judges can evaluate these gainered dismounts...just a thought.

But if Suni's dismount was offline, it certainly wasn't egregious.

I mean, I know 1. where the fire exits are 2. don'ttouchthechildren 3. yes, I'm familiar with flipped classroom, scaffolding, inclusion, data-driven learning, and whole/social/emotional/critical utilizing with fidelity blah-blah and 4. lockdown procedures

ETA: . They were saying they are resetting the arena for trampolining tomorrow. That's OK, I just realized that gulp surfing is on and I am going to watch...through my fingers, with my eyes closed.

Rebeca won silver in the AA in Tokyo, so it's not even the first AA silver for her.

What choice did he have? The only other city that bid was Tehran. You can pretend like your Irish guy did a great job as IOC president but he and the IOC Exec Board made such stellar choices that the Olympic movement was practically dead until Peter Uberroth and LA came along to save them from their own arrogant hubris.
