Will Japan and China send their A Team to 4CC?

I am under the assumption that most or all of the Olympic US and Canada team will skip 4cc this season. Which is good- spread the wealth. Being in Asia, how will it go for JPN and CHN?

If you look back at 2014, Japan and China did not send their A teams to 4CCs that year.

The only exception was in the ladies division. Kanako Murakami and Zijun Li both participated in both 4CCs and Olympics. They were the only Japan/China A-team skaters to do both events, as far as I can see from a quick glance.

I would expect the same this year. Even though both 4CCs/Olympics are in Asia this year, they are just a week and a half apart! And with many of Japan/China's skaters likely doing both team and individual events at the Olympics, it just would seem prudent for them to skip 4CCs.

Seems the top skaters would skip 4CC to prepare for the Olympics, and not overdo or risk injury.
