Updated ISU World Standings points for 2026-27 and beyond

ISU Communication No. 2812 has updated the points system going forward, with mostly minor tweaks in points for all event types plus the addition of points for the Grand Prix Semifinals being added for the 2027-28 season.

IC and JIC competitions took a significant hit in both points and positions that earn points. This has to be really discouraging for young skaters just trying to get noticed.

The “ISU World Standings” is taking into account results of the preceding two seasons and the current season and remains the basis for the draws at ISU Events or to establish the starting orders and part of the criteria for the selection of competitors for the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix and other ISU Events designated by the Council.
Compared to Communication No. 2550, the distribution of WS points has been slightly modified.
