In the Peak Ice interview, Isabeau once again indicated that she might not compete until the Grand Prix due to her injury. She was scheduled to do an exhibition the day of the interview and said that there would be no jumps.
She originally was scheduled to skate at Sun Valley this weekend, but CPom have replaced her.
Based on the previous interview she did, it doesn't sound like she thinks that she will be unable to jump until the Grand Prix. Rather, it sounds like she wants time to work on jumps after she is able to start jumping again and that this is a bigger priority for her than competitions. She originally had hoped to work on a new and more difficult jumps this summer and her injury is very frustrating.
It's unfortunate that she wasn't able to work on her jumps with Mishin while she was in Italy last month. And it sounds like she doesn't plan on going back. She says she's staying in New Jersey and not taking another plane until the season starts.
But, maybe she'll change her mind after she has a little while to relax at home. Aside from a few hours to change her bag, she hadn't been home in three months.
ETA: She did just post a clip of herself with Sarah and Jason, and I don't think it was in New Jersey.

Perhaps this is an opportune moment to give props where props are due. I remember folks writing Isabeau off before she even debuted on the Junior Grand Prix circuit. Not only has she completed a full Olympic cycle, she’s aiming to improve her fundamentals, increase her jump difficulty, and intends to stay in the sport so long as she is able. The grittiness she has demonstrated as well as the mental steadiness she’s developed over the course of her career has been awesome to witness. She’s been on the international circuit for almost 5 years now and I’m eager to witness her growth as she heads into what will hopefully be her second Olympic berth.
However, I am nervous about her consistent injuries since the beginning of her international career. She withdrew from the Junior Grand Prix Final in 2021 due to injury, experienced a growth spurt that plagued her consistency in the 2023-2024 season, injured herself and was out of contention until Worlds the following season, and is now recovering from an injury post-Olympic season. I wish her nothing but good health because it must be frustrating to constantly be dealing with bouts of injuries that are not necessarily caused by technique but rather uncharacteristic and weird falls, that being the case with the fall during Stars on Ice.
Nonetheless, I admire her competitiveness and am more-so glad that she seems to have found joy in skating again. Based on her other interviews, it seems as though she’s worried less about placements this year because the focus is on the bigger picture. What will she need to do, and perhaps sacrifice, so that she can reach the level she aspires to? That might mean risking the consistency that she’s been known for by attempting harder jumps (the triple Axel for instance) and dabbling in new choreography that challenge her range of expression and motion. Kudos to her, especially for taking ownership of her own career and skating.

I hope Annika’s team will 86 all of her jumps with the arms over her head as they do her no favors as she fell or had step outs on every single one of them at glacier falls.
Also, aren’t judges no longer giving higher GOEfor them anymore either.
back in the day, when Amber was doing them she would fall as well, and then when she just stopped doing them altogether her jumps improved as do so many other skaters that really want to be an Eteri skater with their arms up to the rafters all the time.

Mia had a rough SP at U.S. Junior Team Cup (2Lz<<, 3F!+3T, 2A; 49.17 20th place) so this was a massive improvement for her!Nemirovsky's full SP with a good 3Lz in the 2nd half (61.12 3rd):From Instastory clips... Emilia Nemirovsky currently leads (61.12) - her SP music begins with Samuel Barber's somber Adagio for Strings and ends with Madonna's Vogue ("Strike a pose!").

Congratulations to Logan Higase-Chen (new PB in short with 61.46, 3rd place at CS cranberry after SP), Kaya Tiernan earning 2nd place at junior cranberry with a 20 point increase from Junior Team Cup to score 171.97, and to Emilia Nemirovsky who went for 3A today and even though she fell on it still finished 3rd place at junior cranberry with a score of 164.65

From an Instastory clip I saw earlier - Kaya Tiernan (last season's Gladiator soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, incl. female vocal) - 3S, low hydroblade into choreo. sequence; clip ended with her leaping up in & clapping her hands in joy! A fan cam should turn up at some point.
