This is absolutely awful! How the law can let this occur is beyond me but then again, look at the extreme Mormon church sect in Utah and BC where girls are married at 13-14 to men old enough to be their grandfather.

I saw that story and thought it was bizarre. There's one horse who seems particularly traumatized, which is sad...

In case anyone has been following this case - Texas v. Karmelo Anthony: He’s been found guilty of murder.

The jury now has to decide Anthony’s sentence. He could get anywhere from 5 to 99 years.

Apparently, the jury only deliberated for three hours and they had the option to convict for manslaughter. But I was unsure that a manslaughter conviction was going to happen.

But now what will his sentence be?

wow, how can that possibly happen? The airline also needs to account for this in addition to the actual offender. IN other words, a company has a responsibility to ensure oversight over staff ensuring competence and qualifications are in place.

BTW, the girl who killed the horses, she should be confined for as long as possible and given a life time ban to have any pets or to work with any animals in her life............she must have significant problems. The strictest consequences should be given to this cruel person.

It was truly terrible, but the girl did not kill the horses. She attacked them and stabbed them.They are all okay as far as I know, although at least one seems to be traumatized.

Still, she needs to be thoroughly assessed as to why she did something so mean and cruel.

I just saw a few clips. The Utah LE barely had a presence at this event. The cop who testified made it sound like he only worked the event because he was a fan of Charlie's and it seemed like he wasn't paying a ton of attention to actual security.

The defense attorney is the same lady from the Kouri Ritchens trial. She was terrible there but seems to be a lot more coherent and less whiny here. Based on the prelims, this is probably going to be an interesting case to follow.
