Could be - I know they're up at Ice House and train with Enkina/Kovalenko, so I just presumed their main pairs coach is Krasnopolski.
That looked like Ivan Dinev with G/K - perhaps just helping put them on here?

I read on a Golden Skate forum that they are based in New Jersey but are training part-time in Sochi. Their coaches were listed as Dmitri Savin and Fedor Klimov, so maybe Ivan just helping them? I guess with Skate America and Katowice coming up that makes sense.

I just realized/made the connection that Ivan Dinev is in Nice to coach Paolo Borromeo (returned this season after many years to skate for PHI) in the CS Senior Men's event.

ETA - Dinev was with Borromeo, based in LA, at the Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy in HKG last month: https://www.instagram.com/p/C_1CeauSaZq/

Rink announcement before the ice resurfacing said there was a red alert for bad weather/severe thunderstorms? and that the rink is being evacuated of all spectators. The final group of 7 Junior men will compete but the rest of today's events are cancelled and will be rescheduled for tomorrow morning?!

Brooks

Nice height on solo triples, flipped out of 3a, fun lime green and black costume, good 3r-2a-2a, fall on 3z, maintaining good energy at end of program

Sayed

3a not enough height and sat down, followed with 3z-3t, want him to work on the height of his jumps—there’s barely time to rotate, performing choreo with conviction, dramatic ending pose

Elano

Easier 2a to open, falls on 3z, 3r, nice carriage as he skates, definitely more developed artistically than technically, 3f-2a sequence—wobbly on exit, good edge change in camel spin

Imedashvili

Hands down on first combo, 3z-1r-3s, fall on 3f, awkward splat on 3s, 3r-2t, good sense of rhythm and skating on beat, not his best jumps day

Vasquez

3f to open, long entrance into 3z-2t, popped loop, he’ll want to add more choreography before his jumps eventually as he becomes more comfortable with them, lost balance on combo spin and put his foot down early—likely losing levels there, looks disappointed as he leaves ice

Heiderich

Les Miz suits him nicely, 3z-3t, 3t-2a-2t, could add speed to his spins, 2a-2t, nice skate

Note from Dupayage/Nabais: They withdrew from this competition to focus on NHK preparation. Glad it's not a case of injury or illness.

Skate Canada posted this in their story.

“Silver for Reese Rose”. Was the jr women’s free skate held or did they reward medals based on the short program?

I was told unofficially that the Junior Women's FS was cancelled :( so must be the latter?
Any word on the Sr Pairs FS or Jr FD? I can't imagine it would be hard to add the Sr Pairs FS in early tomorrow, if the teams weren't planning on leaving tomorrow.

🥈 for Reese Rose at the Trophy Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur!

The junior women’s free skate was cancelled due to weather, but Reese secured her spot on the podium with her short program.”

Rink announcement before the ice resurfacing said there was a red alert for bad weather/severe thunderstorms?

Well, I'm glad I didn't walk over to the rink . I'm only seeing this now and never would've even thought to check whether the competition might be cancelled based on entirely ordinary weather.

I was out walking at 2 pm when they cancelled the competition based on the timing of your post. There has been off-and-on rain all day, but not particularly heavy and no thunderstorms. Stores and restaurants were open; people were eating outside under canopies; and people were on the (wet) beach, with some even swimming. I'm not even a kilometer from the rink.

There was heavy rain for about 15 minutes around 6 pm, when I got a weather warning pushed to my phone. But there has been nothing to make me think that cancelling a competition was warranted. My windows have been open all night. Hopefully this all turns out to be nothing.

This seems like a huge overreaction to me, but this isn't the first time I've seen Nice cancel things over fairly ordinary weather. Last year they closed schools over rain that would be a normal occurrence in London. And then children were out and about on the perfectly fine streets.

The weather this week has been absolutely miserable, though, with far more rain than Nice normally gets.

Better safe than sorry.
Severe floodings have been happening for several weeks, particularly in the South of France.
This is Cannes 3 weeks ago.
The first images of this video are from Grasse this morning, 30 km away from Nice.
The Rhone region is soaked.
And a new storm is going to hit the shores tonight.

So is this just for the juniors? Or for the whole competition juniors and seniors
The competition was initially juniors and seniors but only the junior men competed a full event and the other junior events only had SPs. Pairs were the only seniors that started the competition at all, and there were just four of them anyways.

It looks like the weather forecast isn't improving for Friday so maybe the whole thing is canceled? Is that what you heard @cholla?
