Thread title is a reference to a skit from the 5/2 episode of SNL, but as there is so little NBA discussion here, it fits!

So much happening...

Celtics were up 3-1 on Philly then Philly won 3 straight including Game 7 in Boston despite being blown out in the first half.

LeBron and the Lakers, still missing the injured Luka, got past the Rockets, which no one expected.

The Eastern Conference is wide open, with NY vs Philly and Detroit vs Cleveland.

The Western Conference is playing out a bit more to form. Next round is #1 OKC Thunder vs LeBron* and the Lakers. Wemby and the Spurs take on the Minnesota Timberwolves, who somehow got past the Denver Nuggets despite losing both guards and then a backup guard during the series. One of the three (Anthony Edward's) is expected back if the team can last long enough. And Ayo Dosunmu, the backup guard, is day to day. The 3rd, Donte DiVincenzo, tore his Achilles and won't be back until middle of next year :(

*This is potentially the end of LeBron James' unequaled career, as he is considering retirement. OKC is known for getting a friendly whistle and their superstar is a bit of a flopper. If the officiating plays a role in the end of LeBron James' career, the NBA front office will deserve the fallout.

Minnesota born and bred here. Can't remember the last time both our NBA and NHL teams made it past the first round of the playoffs in the same year.

And surprise! The Wolves won their first game against the Spurs. We may actually manage to get back to the conference semifinals despite all the injuries. Which would be... miraculous considering how bad things looked just a week ago.

I'm from New York and lived in OKC for many years. I'm alternating my T shirts for whichever team is playing that night and would be over the moon if they met in the final. It would be the rare case when I'd be delighted for either team to win and could just enjoy the amazing play.
