Oh thank Boitano! I thought I was going insane. Turandot/Nessum Dorma is my favorite warhorse. I listened to the first five minutes and decided to wait to listen when I could seriously devote myself to listening and it was GONE. So glad it’s up on YouTube!

Yeah, I'd listened to the first 45 minutes and then when I went back for the next section it had gone. I pay for Spotify but don't pay for YouTube so listening on YouTube means having it interupted by stupid ads every 10 minutes, but I'll survive for one episode and hopefully the next one will be on Spotify again (and yes, I know I could pay for YouTube but I have to pick & choose).

I don't know about in Australia, but in the US, YouTube is WAY more expensive than a lot of other things. I used to have it when it was $10 a month but quit long ago due to price hikes.

They didn’t. I don’t remember that one. Baiul and Kwan were the key ones for me.
Baiul's program was HEAVILY influenced by Trenary's - who happened to be her favorite skater.

I’m excited for this. I just saw the NY Philharmonic perform The Firebird in Vail, and I’ve been listening to the full symphony a lot lately. I want to see the ballet again too. There's nothing I see in the docs to prohibit any AIN from getting a first GP from the Alternates List, which they can by having a SB top 25 -- Gummenik and Petrossian from the OWG -- or by winning a Challenger Event, or, if they are in Pairs, from being considered by the relevant ISU committee to be added based on non-winning results. To be eligible for a second GP, they'd have to medal at their first.
They weren't eligible for the initial selection was because there was no AIN process at the time for anything but the 2026 OWG.

I am trying to listen to Jackie Wong’s Rocker podcast but it lacks something.
I did appreciate the Synchro 9 episode though. I hope The Runthrough does something on Synchro 9–that level of insanity and chaos is right up Ashley, Adam, and NOC Sarah’s alley. There are battles and three different programs and no one knows anything about anything.

Something about the way my brain is wired appreciates the chaos of Adam, Ashley and Sarah. Jackie's podcast is informative, but The Runthrough is entertaining. And I want to be entertained.

I’m enjoying reliving some great skates to The Firebird via The Runthrough. I have Toller Cranston’s avante garde, stylized disco Firebird on some old tapes and hadn’t watched it in ages. Fun! Also Watson & Oppegard. What a dazzling pair and what an excellent creative Firebird. They should have kept it for the Olympics. So fun that he was playing the Prince trying to catch the Firebird, true to the ballet. They were an amazing team that didn’t seem to be around nearly long enough. Im thinking they were dating and broke up or didn’t get along, but those in the know can clarify.
