The moron did not sniff women's hair, had he did, it would be inappropriate too. Biden stood behind women and sniff their hair. You're keep making excuses for him. Flores said it made her uncomfortable, that alone should make him stop. Two other women have come forward. Biden needs to clean this up or kiss his 2020 bid goodbye. This shouldn't be a partisan issue.

I knew more people would come forward. It's time for Biden to announce that he will not run. This is not going to go anywhere good. I don't believe he would win the nomination anyhow.

I'm also disturbed because I've seen some reports that a Sanders operative might have first pushed these Biden allegations to the press? I think it's right for the allegations to be looked into, but I'm also not thrilled at the Sanders' camp's possible involvement. And why hasn't Bernie released his tax returns yet??

I won't be surprised if Sanders supporters may have something to do with spreading gossip about Biden, who may just be a very touchy, huggy person. I have read comments from people that said that in their part of the country it is quite common to touch, and there is nothing sexual about it. I personally don't like to be touched by anyone, and on any part of my body, but I know there are people that are always touching others when they speak, and they make me uncomfortable. I wouldn't go public on them.

Why should Kavanaugh and Biden be treated in the same manner when the circumstances and allegations are entirely different?

It's apples and oranges and if we stop to diffirentiate and treat everyone and everything as the same, it will be as ineffective as if we ignore allegations.

In my opinion, this is blown out of proportion. Biden seems to be a person who isn't mindful of another person's comfort zone. And there are a ton of people like him out there. It's not okay and it does bother me when it happens to me. But I this is a far cry from attempted rape, rape or, I think, sexual harrassment.

Very different. Kavanaugh sexually assaulted a woman. Biden only touched the head of a woman.

I am really afraid that someone is trying to eliminate Biden from the race because polls were showing him in the lead. Now who could that be? It just sounds suspicious to me. Politicians have resorted to dirty tricks to eliminate their biggest competitions (remember Gary Hart? Or the swift boating of Kerry during Bush's second campaign?)

Lucy Flores did support Bernie Sanders in 2016 but this incident happened in 2014 and to my knowledge Bernie Sanders had to and continues to address the issues with discrimination in his 2016 campaign. This is why I think Sanders current campaign is filled with different people than before. There are a lot of young people, especially women of color who are in leadership positions within 2020 campaign.

Fact is discrimination and harassment happen in all areas of society and politics is just a reflection of society.

Joe Biden has long history of crossing personal space boundaries with women. He's from a different generation....

I think Joe Biden could turn this into a learning opportunity when he announces he is running. He can talk about and show what's he's learn in regards to personal boundaries. However, I will always remember how he treated Anita Hill and that definitely would cause some major issues for him.

I can name at least 6 people from his campaign that do not think this is a good idea. I understand(slightly) the premise behind it(i.e I want to president for all or going into the lions den to make your case). I just hope he comes prepared knowing that most of the questions will be about socialism and why he wants government the government to steal people's business and tell them how to live).

I remember Hillary releasing her tax returns early in her campaign. It has become a normal thing to do for a presidential candidate, until Trump came along. I don’t remember if Bernie released his.

Fast forward to 2019.

Bernie said that he would release his tax returns “soon”. Five weeks later some democratic candidates made theirs public. Bernie said he was very close, crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s. As Lawrence indicated he is talking about his 2018 returns. He cannot change what he has already filed so he should be able to release them immediately. If he had released them in 2016, he would have to release them for just two years. So I am guessing that he had not released them in 2016- may be because he did not get the nomination?

Sanders seems to avoid or postpone releasing his taxes while some of the current candidates have done it already. Bernie should have been prepared for this since he has experience being a candidate. He must know this would be expected. He is very eager to announce how much donation money he has received, but not eager to publish what is expected of all candidates.

They are not asking for the 2018 tax documents since the deadline is not here yet, but certainly he has the documents from the past 10 years? How long does it take to find those? There is nothing to be checked. They have been filed already.

May be he doesn’t have anything to hide but until he publishes them for the last 10 years, he is behind. The longer he waits, and keeps saying - “I will publish them soon/ sometime, etc.) he will continue to sound like Trump, to me.

Agreed.

There was a time when this "touchy-feely" contact was considered normal, natural, and an expression of caring; particularly among the tradition to which Biden belonged.

Times have indeed changed; I believe that he now understands, how much.
No one should wait to make any "discomfort" they feel, known either.

I consider the kissing someone's head part a bit strange but I also would never dare to touch a pregnant woman's belly without her consent and I've heard that happens, too. Doesn't make either one okay but I don't think we'd hear about it if the female candidates had done the latter.
