The Dance Hall 14: Waltz Tango Foxtrot

With Allison Reed announcing what sounds like a soft retirement, what are the chances that she joins her sister Cathy Reed build ice dance in Japan?
Extremely doubtful as she has not made her life there the way Cathy had for many years.

I'm always surprised to see how many Americans wind up staying in Montreal when they retire. I wonder if Allison will follow Katelyn's lead and stick around with her French boyfriend.

Samantha Udell and Jordan Juan are a new senior dance team training at Haus of Diamonds. This interview doesn't say which country they'll skate for, but presumably it's for the U.S. He's brand new to dance and used to skate singles for the U.S.; she's represented both the U.S. and Australia in dance.
Looks like Udell/Juan have decided to represent Croatia.

I think we are in for another hyper competitive period between several talented US teams. I love ZingKol but they’re going to have to fight to keep their number one status, world bronze or no. If it weren’t for the boredom of the top World team, I’d be thoroughly looking forward to this quad. As it stands it will still be plenty interesting in the US and internationally.

Aurea Cincon-Debout and Atl Ongay-Perez are listed here as a junior dance team competing at Souvenir Georges-Ethier. It's not clear which country they're competing for (she's Canadian, he's British). It's a Canadian competition, but that's not confirmation.
Julia Epps & Nicholas Ying also are a new team listed for Souvenir Georges-Éthier as well.

ETA - Ying skated with Italy's Anna Bodrone in 2 internationals in early 2026: https://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00125881.htm
I think they could also chose to skate for Mexico (Atl) or France (Aurea was born there), not sure if Atl has ties to Germany beyond skating with Mia-Lee Mayer last season. I'd be happy if Atl came back to GB, of course, but if they choose Mexico they should have a clear path to the big events. First Gauthier/Ayer, now Cincon-Debout/Ongay-Perez - apparently this off season I've become the "Why not skate for Mexico?" cheerleader.

I really enjoyed both Cincon-Debout with Earl-Jesse Celestino and Ongay-Perez with Ashlie Slatter ( :fragile: Baby Brits) so I'm looking forward to seeing this team whichever country they pick.
Patinage Quebec's Souvenir Georges-Éthier ice dance competition is happening in Beauport this Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 19-20 (with free livestreaming) - info in Kiss & Cry: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...-fall-competitions.113875/page-4#post-6952616

Last-minute change was Anna Cappellini being replaced by Francesca Fermi as technical specialist. An excuse to resurrect the old video of Fermi in a Prokofiev's walz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cs7h0dKWmsw

Mrazeks won Lombardia Trophy, thanks to Lopareva/Brissaud's low levels in the FD.

Disappointing competition for Tali/Lafornara who probably hoped to come much closer to Orihara/Pirinen after they were so close to the Taschlers at Kinoshita Cup.
