Rumors are swirling on Reddit and Twitter that Amber is joining Dancing with the Stars. The DWTS subreddit showed a blurry pic of someone exiting practice who could have been her. If true, it might explain her absence from the champs camp events.

My Bestie said it’s not her, it’s a new professional dancer and been confirmed by production. The stars and the dancers enter through different doors.

I think autumn is not the correct time for current professional figure skaters, because if she were to go the distance, that would mean she would be doing that while she’s also doing her challenger and both of her Grand Prixs as it doesn’t end until the week of Thanksgiving. And it seems weird that a figure skater would want to risk an injury on the dance floor as they’re actually competing in figure skating.

Hmmm in the comments it says her five most recent follows are all dancing with the stars dancers. Now it’s got me rethinking lol

I read more of the posts… some although just a few confirm what my Bestie says that only the pros use and wear masks this time and that whoever is coming out of this door is coming out of the door that the dancers use not the stars, they think that it is Adele

But most of the other comments point to Amber.

Don’t worry about it, the chances we will see it probably won’t even happen until January, evidence points further that she’s doing dancing with the stars. Strange that someone would do it in the fall. But I think, from what I’m looking at, she may have been a last-minute addition.

Color me purple, I just looked at the current confirmed list. I don’t know anybody, Amber would be the only person I know. Oh wait, I know Tatyana Ali.

I would rather see her with Sasha. But I haven't watched DWTS since they let Tom B go, so it's a moot point. Hopefully it will be a good experience for her.

I don’t follow DWTS but can someone fill me in. Does Amber and her partner have a good chance of winning?
 
It's tough to say, because two of the other celebrities -- Jenna Dewan and Harry Shum, Jr. -- have extensive dance experience. However, that often ends up backfiring because many voters prefer celebrities who are talented dancers, but don't have a resume in actually dancing professionally, which some see as unfair. She'll also have competition from popular celebrities with name recognition, like Julia Stiles, and I've heard Jackson Olson has a huge social media following. Her fellow Olympian Ezra Frech may also get a lot of support. But Pasha will teach Amber well, and he did make the finals with his strongest previous partner (Ariana Madix), so I think whether or not she wins, Amber's in a good position to make it far.

Signing on to be part of DWTS for its upcoming season was an “easy yes” for Glenn, a fan of the hit dance competition show. Ever since she saw Olympic ice dancer Meryl Davis compete on season 18, the Olympian says she has wanted to join the cast.
“It definitely was hard because I have to sit out a few figure skating competitions, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I’m so glad I said yes,” she says.

No it's not a coincidence, this plan feels telegraphed for a few weeks now to skip the GP season and attempt to return to skate in the 2nd half of the year

Between pulling out of summer sizzler/not going to champs camp + ever since show rumors started that became reality + her program announcements are deliberate (not really a game player like others) + seeing twitter fan accounts making plans for us nationals not skate america....

I guess the only mystery left is if she is hedging against early elimination from show or when the GP withdrawal notice comes
