Musk prefers to take money away from the poor, not give it to them.Wow, their donations sound great. I doubt many of the other very rich like Musk, Trump, etc donate so generously.

NYC is like a ghost town around July 4.they could build a lot more goodwill if they paid for all costs associated with the event…police overtime, security done by the city on a very busy holiday weekend, giving extra $$ to the city for the inconvenience of road closures, etc. maybe they already are?
it's a lot of money and I'm happy for the charities but the equivalent sum for my income is $1,000 not taking tax deductions into account.
me neither but that's just setting a low bar for the most visible $$$ people. many people of that tier of income have given significantly and we all share in that when we go to the orchestra, a museum, a school. it's a nice thing and she's not the problem, but her fans are like the Fanyu's of music. in perspective to your own income, from 2 people, what would that amount be for you?
I am not saying it is not enough. I think it is interesting to put it into perspective of other people's incomes and donations. Her fans act like she invented charity but that isn't her fault. If you do not enjoy that conversation, that is ok.
it would appear so tho I havent done a head count. some are really about that life more than others tho.

MacKenzie Scott and Melissa Gates donate simiilar amounts regularly.Wow, their donations sound great. I doubt many of the other very rich like Musk, Trump, etc donate so generously.
Musk, et. al. would donate to horrible causes. So it's probably for the best that they aren't super-generous.The good they could do if only they would....

Because even billionaires deserve happiness.Idk why I’m so emotional about this but I am. So glad she’s found her person.
Do you really think Musk would donate millions to charity without making sure people know about it? That doesn't seem to be his style.Seeing as tax returns are private, why is anyone making any assumptions about what Musk or any other billionaire is donating to charity?
Many times it's the organization that was donated to that announces it. It gives attention to their programs which leads to good things. The people who make it public are virtue signaling, IMO, in a lame attempt to excuse their excessive lifestyles. It's like buying carbon credits.
