Stars on Ice Spring 2026 Tour - U.S. and Canada

That was the year we did COI in DC and SOI in Baltimore the next night! Or was it the other way around? 🤣🤣🤣
IIRC, SOI was a Sat in mid-March and COI was a Friday night later in March after Worlds....I don't remember them being one night after the other.

It was 2004 or 2005, because I remember taking 2 days off work and booking the train to DC, then DC to Baltimore the next day, then home to VA the day after...

A brief and belated review of the CSOI show in Winnipeg Wednesday night. I was pleased to see a decent crowd after being passed over the last few years, about ¾ of the available seating was sold. We were definitely a boisterous/borderline rowdy bunch, cheering and screaming for everyone and everything , which the cast seemed to appreciate. Highlights for me (aside from the far too short Piper and Paul tribute), were Lia/Trennt who are just oozing confidence coming off their bronze at Worlds, my girl Kaetlyn looking so strong and healthy 🥰, and somewhat shockingly, Roman. He fit in wonderfully with the rest of the cast, and looked like he was having the time of his life. He landed a quad in his Chris Mann number, which set off a fresh round of shrieking from the audience. The performance that fell a little flat for me was LaLa’s Thriller. :( I appreciate it’s tough to be the cold spot in the show, and I credit Kurt for including the horror movie intro, but one of LaLa’s other RD’s, like the Cha Cha from the 2022/23 season, would have been a better choice IMHO. Overall, it was a great show, and I’m keeping everything crossed that the sales were strong enough for a return next year.

Hmmm, maybe that did happen in 2005. SOI in 2004 was definitely during Worlds, b/c i remember being there and talking to someone from my rink about MK's time violation in the SP, which had just happened. I guess in 2005 COI was Friday and SOI was Sat....I do remember my mom couldn't come to COI b/c my parents were out of town at a friend's son's wedding and I went with friends of ours...another mom and daughter....who we went with to shows in those days. That may be why I went to SOI myself, they may not have wanted to go to a skating show 2 nights in a row, and I guess my mom wasn't around either.

I can't believe I remember all of those other details but not the 2 nights in a row thing.

I hope SOI starts coming back to Baltimore or DC. They came to Baltimore in 2023, tix sales were OK, not great, but not any worse than any other city that year. Ilia and Alysa should be able to pack in the fans here.

If they come back to Balto or DC, we'll have to meet up and trade stories! 🤣🤣🤣

Also, anyone who's going, if you really want a program, get it early. Chicago ran out of the unsigned ones... I really wanted one for each of us, but ended up just getting one signed one for my aunt...

I took a bunch of video last Sunday at the Long Island Show as well as some short clips during the Stargazer portion. My videos are not close up as they were taken from the last row of the lower bowl but I enjoyed taking them. I have videos of Alysa, Ilia, Isabeau, C/B, Amber, K/O, Z/K and of course Jason. His Spiegel im Spiegel was such a highlight for me - his spins and spirals in this program are just mesmerizing.

I also attended the SOLD OUT May 1st show in Newark but went with a friend and wanted to just enjoy without taking videos.

It was quite an experience going to two packed SOI shows over a weekend. The last SOI I attended was in Newark in 2022 and it was maybe 70% full in the lower bowl. I hope skating's popularity continues to grow and the SOI tour will go to more cities in the off Olympic years.

Are small signs allowed at SOI? Older daughter is thinking of making one for Ilia for tomorrow's show.

Great show last night in Anaheim! Not the same as the late 90s model, but far better than the shows I saw in the early '10s. The Honda Center was filled to the very top row of the upper section. I'm glad my friend had the foresight to suggest buying tickets before the Olympics because our seats are amazing. For an exhibition, the crowd seemed to have more knowledgeable fans than usual, so there was more appreciation and fewer silly comments. Everyone got a ton of applause but I'd say Alysa, Ilia, and Jason garnered the biggest reactions. Jason's natural talent for ease of movement & performing really came through in the boys' group number! Older daughter was able to take in her sign for Ilia and younger daughter adored the Blade Angels doing Golden. Saw Gracie Gold, Grant Hochstein, and Adam Rippon on the concourse. Older daughter got to tell Adam how much she enjoyed the Rosie Awards episode of The Runthrough and I congratulated him on the opening of his med spa. Gracie was in the monstrous line for the women's restroom so I didn't approach, but a steady stream of other people did as they passed through and she was kind to all of them. Andrew Torgashev also displayed a very kind moment as the skaters were exiting the ice at the end of the show - he doubled back a bit to greet two tiny fans around 4-5 years old, which was very sweet.

Honda Center remains undefeated for having the worst logistics for both women's restrooms and exiting the parking lot. It didn't help that there was an Angels-Dodgers MLB game letting out at the same time, from the same lot. 😱 But we all had a very enjoyable time!

Anaheim show was good but the 1st half was UNBEARABLE because there were a group of tween girls sitting right behind us screeching so loud. You know it’s bad when people several rows below were yelling at them to stop. They finally calmed down for the 2nd act.

The SAP Center failed yet again-- how do they have events when half the arena isn't let in until the second half of the first act? 😤
They don't know what to do when they have a full house for skating. They were late letting in people for the Stargazers warm up, and the show, which always starts late, but starting at almost 4:30 when the show is supposed to start at 4:00 is late, even for them. On the plus side, all the concessions were open. I think this is the first time I've been to the SAP Center when everything was open, like for hockey. :p

No. I wish I'd purchased a ticket before the Olympics but now there's no way I can afford one.
There is a good chance that they will release some face value tickets on the day of the show, if you are flexible. It seems they block off a large number of seats behind the 4 monitors that they place in the corners. After they have everything set up the day of the show, they will see which seats are actually not blocked and release them. And often they hold seats for sponsors and such and if there are any unused tickets they will release those as well. It might be as late as just a few hours before the show so just keep checking.

I went to the first Allen show and it was a delight! The arena temperature was so comfortable so I don’t know why they froze us out for that first Skate America lol.

I ran into Madi and Evan’s moms before the show. They said they left the husbands at home lol. They’d already seen the show a couple of times. I think I saw Amber’s parents in on-ice seats. Jason declared the show “Amberland” 😄

I was really looking forward to seeing Emi and Vadym’s Hozier program, but the Macklemore program was a lot of fun. The Too Darn Hot group number was my favorite part of the show. Loved the sassiness!

We were first in line at the Meet and Greet, and I think that gave us less time with each skater because we didn’t have anyone in front of us to stall us. It felt kind of rushed, but I guess with 30 shows any more time would be exhausting for the skaters. Emi and Vadym were at the end of line of skaters, so we got to talk to them longer than anyone else which made me very happy! Vadym apologized for being so chatty 😂 but I appreciated that they didn’t rush us along. They said Isabeau is going to Italy with them next week so I guess she’s getting Benoit choreo too?

I was also at night one! I'm glad we got to see it at the end of the tour because everyone knows the choreo really well now lol. In the practice I got to see Jason skating Isabeau's part in Golden and Amber taking over for Anthony in Too Darn Hot to skate with Christina. Also got to see Torgy work his edges for a while which was an absolute delight. My seats ended up being really great because Anthony and Christina ended up right in front of us a lot of the time which was peak viewing to me. Overall it was tons of fun and I'm glad I went.

Christina posted clips of her doing Golden with Amber and Jason in practice. "Nobody puts Isababy in a corner."

If you haven't seen them, I know that there are clips of Christina doing the lifting in an ice dance lift with Isabeau as well as Isabeau dancing with Anthony.

Sharing my belated thoughts from the rescheduled SOI Hamilton show which ended up being the last one in the Canadian tour. Overall, it was so much fun, had a great time! After the initial scare of Tornado risk warnings everyone was getting on their phones from the emergency alert service, that was long forgotten once the program began (and storm quieted down thankfully!).

Had great seats in the centre of the arena which seemed to be the friends/family area. Ended up being seated next to Paul/Piper's family & friends including Paul's mom and fiancé, Piper's husband and friend, etc. Got to chat with them throughout the evening which was nice!

-Very touching tribute for Paul & Piper to commemorate their Olympic Bronze medal which was part of the short excerpt performance of Vincent. The audio playing had the official broadcast commentating including Carol's quote "..it really was a Starry Starry night in Milan." My only wish was that they performed Vincent for a bit longer!

-Loved all of Paul & Piper's performances! Their Bridgerton themed program to Royals was a hit - probably the program I was most looking forward to and did not disappoint.

-It is very clear why Elvis is still in the cast. Still a big fan favourite, especially with the eldest generation in the audience. Great program for him to Sound of Silence and that final scratch spin still has the wow factor. One of the few to get some standing O's after that program!

-Very happy they kept Roman in the cast. He is one of my favourite skaters to watch live. The quality of his skating, movement, lines, spins, just so pleasing to watch! Loved his skate to Fly Me to the Moon by Chris Mann - one of my favourite pieces of music he has skated to over the years.

-Lia & Trennt were wonderful to watch, definitely carrying over their momentum from all of 2026. They have really built a great connection and performance quality with many nice highlights in their skating.

-Maddie finally had some programs that brought a more fun, genuine performance quality out of her. And for the first time ever I liked what she did with her hair! She needs to use that hairstyle for competitive programs.

-Stephen performed his SP and wow did he get a huge reaction! He was introduced as the man who finished 2nd in the Long Program at the Olympics - nice intro for him! I've seen him skate that SP multiple times live this season and he has improved his performance ability a lot over the season. He was really into the program and the audience was receptive. He got one of the loudest applauses of the night.

-Other thoughts: Keegan was a crowd pleaser as always. Nice to see Kaetlyn back on the ice looking happy. Couldn't help but be nervous the entire time Deanna/Max were skating especially with the high risk moves, you could feel the concern/tension in the crowd. Max seems done and ready to move on to coaching.

Also, now that the SOI Canada Tour is done for 2026, they sent out a survey this week to attendees soliciting feedback on various aspects of the tour. One of the sections of the survey I found most interesting was the questions around the cast. They were trying to understand interest level of fans in having cast members beyond Canadian skaters as this year's tour only had Canadian skaters while they've had international skaters in the past (Satoko was part of last year's tour for example).

One of the questions listed names of various specific non-Canadian skaters and asked you to pick your Top 3 skaters you'd most want to see in the cast. From what I can remember, the list included: Ilia, Alysa, Jason, Kaori, Amber, Isabeau, Riku/Ryuichi, Shaidorov, Chock/Bates, Cizeron/Fournier-Beaudry. I think that was all of them plus maybe 1-2 other skaters listed. Hopefully this means they are considering bringing back International skaters for the SOI Canada 2027 cast.

Congrats to all the skaters for a very successful tour! They really did put on a fantastic show, and there were a number of people who were there (at least that I heard around me) that were new to skating (as in one of them gasped and said "WHAT WAS THAT" to a flying camel spin). Glad to see so many people enjoying skating, and I know people at my show were all saying they hope they come back next year (now will they remember that joy next year? idk lol but the enthusiasm is there right now at least).

SOI posted a thank you to Isabeau and Jason for all their recaps. It's a very cute collection of photos of them:
