what would a pair of skates cost that had

John Wilson excel blades
Ridell boots
Not broken in

I have pair that are sitting in my closet because they are too small at ladies size 6

Seems a waste so thought I might sell them. Likely worn only 2-4 times for less than an hour because they do not fit.

IME when you're reselling used skates (even very lightly used) the skates are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. And it can be very hard to find a buyer because skaters are very particular (understandably) about the boots and blades that work for them.

I'd suggest going on eBay, Craigslist and/or Kijiji to see if there are comparable skates on sale and what their prices are. If there is a nearby skate shop, or a sporting goods store that sells skates, you could also phone them and ask for suggestions. Sometimes skate techs know of potential buyers they could connect you with.

I second @overedge about local skate shops and skate techs. You might also want to contact local rinks/coaches. Usually there's at least a couple skaters who want their own skates but don't want to spend the money to invest in custom skates and don't want to buy a low quality sports store pair. Coaches may also want their skater(s) to get different skates, but the skater or parents may not know where to look. The coaches will usually have an idea if their skater (or another coach's skater) needs skates in that size, and will send the word out. At my rink, the coaches even keep a supply of skates for resale that they can test on their skaters until sold.

I'd also guess that taking the blades off the boots and selling the blades separately from the boots might be easier then selling them as a complete set. People are fairly faithful to their brands once they find the ones that work for them so someone might be interested in the blades but not the boots and vice versa.

If you plan on selling them through eBay, plan on getting almost nothing for them. Any skate equipment that isn't brand new sold by a vendor, usually is very hard to sell unless the seller is willing to take a big loss. I have tried to sell skate equipment on eBay, and ended up not selling due to being unwilling to take so little money for things.

On Ebay, II mark skates down $5 each time they don't sell. Most of my higg end ones get a bidding war going (got to love that!) Skating dresses usually only get one bid, so don't give the away. I had a dress bid up to $80 and then asked for her money back. She said the armholes were too tight. It as a sleeveless dress. I offered her money to take it to her seamstress to "fix" the dress. Ebay sides with the buyer 99% of the time. They denied her request. I think she was mad that she bid it up so high

Contact the local skating club and see if they have anyone looking for skates. Sometimes there might be a facebook page that sells secondhand skates. Or a club may be having a secondhand sale day.

Most of the clubs near me have a swap day. Unfortunately, by the time a kid is big enough for adult size skates, they're fairly picky about brand. Selling the blades is easier.
