Yes but there is huge money to made here in the sport and it is undeniably growing. I love that KC built a soccer stadium exclusively for their women's team. It would have never even occurred to me that this would happen in the 80's or 90's. I wasn't even aware of the World Cup. And seeing the sport on tv? Maybe a small feature on The Wide World of Sports one Saturday. And I do love that it was Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, Brandi Chastain and their teammates that finally captured the country's attention in their World Cup run. Does the game itself interest me? Sadly, still no. But there are so many young girls and boys out there involved at every age level in the sport now that I think it keeps growing.

I believe Brittney Mahormes is part of that.

You know I find the English team so relatable as a Chief's fan. We won the Superbowl in 1970 and didn't get near another SB until they won again in 2020. That is a long haul and the English fans have been waiting even longer. No shade to Spain or Argentina but I hope it is England's year.

I was in Greece on holiday when England played Mexico. I was asked around the pool several times the next day if I had been out to watch it in one of the Sports Bars there. No, I hadn’t for starters I’m Welsh. Secondly. The original kick off time was set for 3am Greek time.

Although it did give me some amusement when one of the sports bar owners had his head in his hands at the thought of staying open for that match.

A Spain vs England match would be insane. Hubby has family in both countries but more in Spain so Spain it is. I was listening to some commentary who says at this point Spain is putting out one of the best defenses ever in a World Cup.

Just want to say again how much I HATE what they are doing to the final with all that Superbowl type nonsense. That stuff should stay in the Superbowl. It is almost as bad an idea of when FIFA toyed with the idea of making the female athletes play in their skivvies.
