My husband & I are going to Portland, ME, this weekend, and I'm wondering if anyone has restaurant recommendations? So far in Portland, we've tried Fore Street, Duckfat, and Flatbread Pizza.

Claire - I work in Portland and can recommend a few:

Nosh Kitchen Bar - 551 Congress St - sandwiches, burgers, salads.
Empire - 575 Congress St - Chinese food
OTTO - 576 Congress St - Pizza (thin crust & gourmet)
David's Opus Ten - 22 Monument Way - seafood & steak

Are you coming up for Stars on Ice?

@Reuven I've never eaten there. I'll have to check it out.

I will be at SOI. My niece's birthday party is at noon in a nearby town, so I will be heading to the arena after.

Oops. I don’t see the ravioli listed on the menu anymore? Maybe it’s a daily thing, depending on the catch. Anyway, there’s a newer restaurant in one of the newer hotels, The Union, it’s in The Press Hotel which once housed The Portland Press Herald. It’s worth a look around, too. If you have some time to travel down to Cape Elizabeth there’s The Good Table, specialising in Greek cuisine. Right next door to them is Rudy’s of the Cape, casual dining.

I made a reservation at Picairino. It looks amazing (even without the seafood ravioli). I love homemade ravioli, it's one of my favorite things to get when I go out to dinner. Thanks for the other recommendations, we may hit one or two of them for lunch!

Have you or @Daphne been to C2 (Congress Squared)? I saw that online and thought the menu looked interesting--they have lots of yummy-sounding vegetable dishes. Although I guess it's all small plates.

Haven't figured out what we're going to do yet, beyond eating and SOI!! :-) I'm thinking maybe visit the Victoria Mansion and walk around the Old Port.
