It has been a few years since I last actively watched figure skating. My mother loved figure skating; she and I would sit together and watch it on TV. After she passed, I kind of lost interest and only watched a few events. I would like to start watching it more and have a few questions.

1. I remember that several years ago, I was able to watch our youth skate in their events. I watched today's skaters when they were just learning how to skate. Is there a way I can start watching this again? I loved watching the little ones. They are so cute and adorable. How do I watch the competition for those who are not the juniors and Seniors in their Field?

2. I enjoy watching Starr Andrews. I know she went to pairs. Has anyone heard how she is doing? Will she be skating this or is she taking the year off?

Thanks

Chris

In November the 3 U.S. Sectional Championships (Juvenile, Intermediate & Novice levels) will be livestreamed for free on USFS' YouTube channel.

Yes, Starr is switching to pairs this season - she and her partner, Daniil Parkman, had their first public performance tonight at the "Summer Sizzler" show at the Skating Club of Boston. A fan cam video may turn up and USFS' YT channel should be streaming the show on their YT channel sometime next week, I believe.

Here's the link to the most recent posts in Starr's fan thread (includes a May 2026 show video of her "Whip My Hair" revival): https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...andrews-fan-thread.102874/page-4#post-6926794

Edited to add - I've posted a fan cam video of Starr/Daniil's SP debut in Starr's fan thread (linked above).

Also, Nationals for the Novice, Intermediate and Juvenile levels will be returning in 2027 - now called the "U.S. Figure Skating Development Team Championships" and will be held - together with the Junior events - at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex, January 10-14, immediately following the U.S. Figure Skating Championships (Senior level only this time), January 5-10, 2027, at the Maverik Center in SLC.

To answer your second question. Starr and her new partner, Daniil Parkman, are indeed competing this season :cheer2: and will be making their competitive debut at the John Nicks Pairs Challenge in September.
