I miss Obama so much!
Yeah. Remember the good old days when we had an intelligent, calm, respected man who actually cared about those American people who were NOT rich and powerful? Remember the man whose finger was not constantly poised above the big red button of world annihilation? Remember when we didn't shudder every time those 'nuclear codes' were mentioned? Remember when North Korea was just a nation north of South Korea without all of the childish rants back and forth across the demilitarized zone? Remember when we had a real president who dedicated his whole weekend to working for this nation and not to working on his golf game? Remember when mentions of 'personal wealth' were meant to encourage us to save and invest wisely for our own future growth? Try to remember...
those good old days!
AS ARCHIE AND EDITH WOULD SING..."THOSE WERE THE DAYS!"

How is that we went from the example that I would want the world to see to the example that I would want to hide in the basement? I appreciate Obama now more than ever.

I really should change my profile "picture" some time, but I just can't yet. I still use it on FB too.

I saw some interviews with Josh Earnest last week and hearing that calm, intelligent voice compared to the dopey, stumbling, bumbling Spicer makes me even more disgusted with the events of November 8, 2016!
MY GAWD! I EVEN MISS THE PRESS SECRETARY? :wuzrobbed DAMN!!!

Isn't it strange how the daily 'voice' of the Oval Office occupant is the exact representation of that person?

We have always known that the new Administration wants to wipe out all traces of President and Mrs. Obama and their good work:
http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/01/politics/trump-michelle-obama-girls-education/index.html
To the Obamas: "The people who are waiting to watch you sink, will watch you...SOAR!"
-Marcus Gill

To the Dullnull: "Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated!"
-George Bernard Shaw

History is waiting...:40beers: Karma's job is to give you exactly what you deserve!

The cruise with the Hanks, Springsteens, Oprahs and Obamas: Would I like to have been a fly on the wall when the subject of Trump arose and you know it did. I'm still hoping for Oprah or Tom or Michelle to "test the waters" for candidacy.

I don't know if this speech was posted. It was given at the JFK library in early May:

SEE @Sylvia's better link below. I posted a wrong link, a very wrong link... :p

Anyway, President Obama gave a great speech, in his usual fashion, which many of us likely took for granted when he was in office. I do miss him.

That's what a real intelligent, articulate, decent and humane U.S. President looks and sounds like! Thank you President Obama!

Oops, thanks @Sylvia. I don't know what happened there. :drama: That crazy lunatic enabler is most certainly not President Obama, who I dearly miss as our Commander-in-Chief.

Thanks for providing the link to the full JFK courage award ceremony. I had initially thought I was posting a link just to Obama's speech which I came across on Youtube. I can't locate it now. So thanks.

Maybe the below was already posted in the royalty thread or somewhere else here. There are a ton of articles reporting on President Obama's visit with Prince Harry at Kensington Palace a few days ago. It's nice to see that the Obamas' friendly relationship with the royals will continue informally, and in relation to their charitable interests. It was always fun to see how Prince Harry and Michelle Obama shared a similar sense of humor and got on together like a house on fire. :D

I was in Germany when Obama was there. It was so nice to see him admired and respected!

Here's the NYTimes report about the Obama home purchase:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/31/us/obama-buys-house-washington-kalorama.html?_r=0
This report indicates that the Obamas still own a home in Chicago. I would imagine they also own property in Hawaii. There is speculation by the NYT reporter that the Obamas plan to raise their political profile with Trump in the White House.

Another NYT article states that President Obama was "warmly greeted by Angela Merkel in Germany" hours before she attended the NATO conference in Brussels where she reacted coolly toward Trump (understandably).
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/25/world/europe/obama-trump-merkel-germany.html

And Mrs. Obama deservedly has sharply criticized the Trump administration's plan to eliminate her school nutrition programs.

It will be interesting to find out whether President Obama will decide to locate his official presidential library in Chicago or in Hawaii. :)

Yet another beautifully eloquent speech by Obama. Reporters saying it was a madhouse.
