I need to put this somewhere for future reference.

Arribert never had her dancers skate to the golden waltz, except for 2010-2011.At the time, 90% of the dancers (if not more) had chosen musics for "a ball at the embassy" or a ball in a movie or an opera.

She then chose a more gothic setting with Ein Wiener Waltzer by Karl Jenkins for Blanc/Bouquet. I can't wait to see how much senior teams will chose such a mood which wasn't common 16 years ago. (in jr, Barbara Piton's Cohas Bogey /Grishin have chosen the Addams Family/Wednesday for their RD).

She had another (minor) senior couple then for which she made a wonderful choice. That was Hijo de la Luna by Mecano.
I'm wondering if we'll have it this season.

OTOH, Loicia Demougeot and Theo Lemercier had an Ig story at the begining of the July where they were doing the golden waltz on the floor to Coeur de Pirate's Fondu au noir (which Coeur de Pirate liked). No clue if that's going to be their music but just in case...

Candeloro who is acting in a play (it's a comedy where Candeloro and Nelson Monfort go to Tokyo to commentate on a World Championships - like they used to until 2024 - and they find a body in their hotel room) was occupied for half a month at the Festival d'Avignon.

Personal thought :
It was predictable since April when they didn't appear in Villard's ballet and started to appear in photos of Lyon's exhibition galas in June.

To me, that's unfortunate in the long term.

Louise is a baby Villard and she's going to lose the tailor-made treatment. She has some good friends in Lyon. We'll see if that's enough to keep her going. Her little sister is going to be the next baby Villard and I love her to bits.

And Martin ... I can understand the feel he needs to rush things ... Being the Piton golden baby, until Théo Bigot started to rise (here they are, ten years ago, Martin at the top center, Théo at the bottom center of the picture). If Charlene Guignard, Romain Le Gac have proven something, it's that being patient, putting in the work, staying grounded can lead you to a good/great career, even when wonderbabies are coming up. They got the careers the better diva boys of Lyon (Benoit, Alexis, Neil, Corentin-dear-Angelica-Abachkina-you'll-never-get-me) didn't. Theirs were filled with not great to stupid decisions and public meltdowns. And unfortunatly, young Martin made several dumb moves in his early career, until he got his mojo back in Villard.

Anyway, I hope the best for Louise and Martin.

Leaving aside the elephant in the room that Gabriella wrote about in her book.
