Watching here while I wait for SBS to get their shit in a pile: https://ok.ru/live/724579458579

Seriously though, I 100% appreciate SBS providing a free live stream of great quality, but it's almost like they didn't realise the Australians would be early and thus they needed to be ready from the start of the event.

Yeah Julian!! :cheer2:
That was brilliant! Aside from the stepout on the 3s, his jumps looked so confident today.
I do wish the camera had pulled back a bit at the end of his fw, so we could get the full effect of that split jump from a total standstill.

(And his coach says "That was awesome!" I agree. :) )

Oh, yikes. Poor Samohin - he looked so frightened to put his hand down. Even on the jumps he did hand downs he kinda snatched his hand back up very quickly.

Grey wolf? For him that wasn't actually that bad...

Can't believe he ended up into the boards tough. Or maybe I can? :gallopin1

Olympic channel announcer just said Samohin was the only Israeli skater in Milan. I guess Bychenko has been kicked off the team.

So while Samohin's other elements clearly must have made up for the falls and hand downs on the jumps, I still don't feel like it should have been ahead of Yee, who had no falls.

I understand why, and most of the advantage is in PCS, which is probably fair, but it still somehow doesn't seem right.

Also, the difference was mostly in the PCS, which I find strange, given that Julian skated with far more command than Danny, who looked messy & terrified throughout.

Slavik's jumps are huge when he is one. Hope he keeps building on everything next season. Urmanov is listed as one of his coaches;)
