I am wanting to find a website that allows you to develop forms but also take payments.

The service website our club have been using (Register Now) is ceasing to be at the end of the year. We need to find something else that people can register and pay their membership fees or competition entries online. It also has to have a good database function.

We want something that will not cost us a lot of money. Does anyone here have any suggetions?

My triathlon club uses ClubExpress. We all hate the UI but it does do what it needs to. We are constantly on the lookout for something better but it doesn't seem to exist.

I use RunSignUp to manage registration and volunteers for my Kids Tri and just a few days ago they announced they were moving into club management. RunSignUp frustrates me because it's complicated and sometimes there are 3 ways to do things while sometimes to do one thing, you have to visit 3 screens. That said, it's 1000x better than ClubExpress, so I look forward to seeing what they do for clubs.

I've also read that Squarespace and MailChimp let you do club and event management but I haven't looked into it. They aren't made for that so I think they probably do work but it will require a certain technical expertise to set it all up and keep it going.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the suggestions. You think it would be something really basic out there that provides a platform for straight forward membership registration.

I think we use Wix for our website. Maybe there is a tool in there that allows us to manage it.

Well, that's ClubExpress. It's all about supporting clubs. You can set calendar entries to show to the public or only club members. It has forums and you can use them like mailing lists (set them up to email you the posts) and make sure only members get them. And then you can set up a few webpages.

And you can put an event on the calendar and require registration for it with different price points.

It's just ugly. The Admin UI looks like it was developed in 1994!

My club is looking into ToucanTech.

We currently use MailChimp and Squarespace. Squarespace isn't really set up for clubs, and we had to shut down our "Join" page because we were getting spam membership applications. I don't know whether switching to ToucanTech would solve the spam problem.
