I hope this is the right thread but Haein Lee and choreographer Yeaji Shin gave a long interview to Golden Skate

• Very nervous during olympics but was happy with performance
• Shared planned free layout: 3Lz+3T, 3Lo, 3S, 3F+2A+2A, 3Lz, 3F
• Wants to fix underrotation issues by not rushing jumps
• Both of them like the rule changes for next year
• mentioned haein's chronic back issues which they are still working around
• They've come up with a choreo spin that looks like a music box with a side facing position and change of edges to inside
• short program will have choreo in front of judges and knee slides

In past years, the KSU have guaranteed funding for 2 JGPs for the top 2-3, and 1 JGP for the rest with the skaters having to self-fund for the 2nd JGP assignment, so it may depend on whether those skaters can afford to pay for a 2nd JGP or not.

Of the total seven Junior Grand Prix spots allocated to Korean women's singles this season, two spots are distributed to each of the top three skaters, and one spot to the next-ranked skater. In the fiercely contested women's singles category, Ko Na-yeon, Jang Ha-rin, Heo Ji-yu, and Hwang Jeong-yul secured their tickets based on their final rankings. Meanwhile, in the men's singles category, led by frontrunner Choi Ha-bin, all seven skaters who participated in the selection competition—including Lee Jae-geun and Yoo Dong-han—have earned the opportunity to compete, and in ice dance, every participating team has also secured one spot each.

I forgot that Korea only has 7 women's spots on the JGP this year (#6 ranked country at Jr. Worlds) - so 2 spots apiece go to Nayeon Ko, Harin Jang & Jiyu Huh, and 1 spot to Jeongyul Hwang.

I kind of find it wild that program layouts are announced this far in advance by now 4 skaters, I can't recall something like this before. Some back of hand math tells me that the Kim twins are doing to have a 9-12 point base value advantage over Haein Lee and Jia Shin across both programs which could be interesting to see play out

I'm going to speculate that it was the opposite -- not knowing anything beyond her youtube page, she has US comp videos going back to 2011 as a kid. It's been reported she is 22 years old, so unless her parents moved to the US when she was a toddler-- she was probably born in the US to her Korean parents who migrated and through korean jus sanguinis rights was an automatic dual US-korean national at birth. Under korean law, by age 22 women in this scenario have to basically either choose dual citizenship for life or renounce korean citizenship. I'm guessing she/her family chose to renounce since this is what has been reported. Now she is in a difficult position of needing special government help or having to renounce US citizenship in order to regain korean nationality since the law does not allow dual nationals after renunciation unless they are 65+.
