iPad question

I have a bit of a problem with my iPad. The tablet itself is fine but I ran out of data and have tried to buy more but all I get is a message that says "no plans available ". My service provider is Bell and I have had my iPad 2 for a long time but never had this happen before. I tried calling Bell but all the numbers I found were for their other services and the one time I actually got to speak to someone I was told to call 611. LOL Anyone have any idea what the problem is? Could it be the SIM card?

I would take it to the closest Apple store and buy something from them. Sorry, that is not very technical, but I am pretty sure it would fix your problem. Your iPad is pretty old so chances are it needs upgrading.

I would find a Bell store or a store that deals with Bell's tablet plans. It may be your SIM card but it sounds more like a problem on Bell's side than yours. Bell's tablet plans are the same as Telus in that they are a Flex plan so you shouldn't be running out of data. You would just see on your bill how much you used. However if you are on an older plan it could be that they don't have that setup anymore and you may need to change your plan. I've never dealt with Bell directly, my store stopped carrying Bell about a year before I started working there so I will admit I am coming from the perspective of only having dealt with Telus, but they tend to behave pretty similarly when it comes to their phone/tablet plans. Did you try calling 611?

Is it saying you have no data available or that your cloud is full? I have an early generation of ipad and just use wifi at home. Are you using your own data plan to use it off of your home network?

It has 3G and I buy cellular data for when I am on the road and I use Wi-Fi when I am home. So far nothing has worked so I will wait until the renewal date to see if my plan gets renewed.

Resurrecting this thread. I really hate the autocorrect. It screws up what I write, and not just spellings and proper nouns, but grammar also. I am not always able to edit if I am on Facebook, so I should blame Facebook also. Why can't they just leave things the way a person types in?

Is there a way to either shut off or bypass autocorrect on iPad and on iPhone?

My iPad is not letting me post anything since last night. I get the message “we are working on fixing the problem”. This morning same thing happened. I turned off the iPad, then restarted it, but no success. I reported the problem to Facebook. No success.
Earlier I was getting a message that my data is ‘overage’, and 90 percent of data has been used. However, just a couple days earlier I went to the Verizon store to ask about these messages and they told me I have 100 percent of the data available.

I am very frustrated by not being able to use the iPad for posting on Facebook. I can post on my desktop but it is a pain to go upstairs to use it. I use the iPad as much as possible.

You might want to force quit the Facebook app and see if that fixes your posting problem. Any time I have an issue like you describe, I force quit and then open it again and it's always worked fine then.
