IOC lifts ban on Belarus, ban on Russia continues

Why should she. She has the same diagnosis as Biles, made it herself a public knowledge. It's safe to assume she has the same TUE as Biles because that is how their diagnosis is treated.
Is it?

Biles proved in Tokyo that without her light meth she can't really compete. If the OC 2026 had been in Tokyo, Alysa might have had the same "success" as Biles. They are both fakes.
We all have opinions.

I'm sorry to sidetrack here, but Simone and Team USA have both said she hadn't been on ADHD medication since 2017. So hateful rhetoric aside, that's just a patently false claim.
And there is no evidence that Alysa takes medication or has a TUE.

I'd say it's on the person making the claim to provide actual evidence. If we are quoting the Bible, I would say that the Ninth Commandment applies here.

You know, some of us here have the same diagnosis as Simone and aren’t actually enjoying having an ignorant troll assuming that ADHD is treated the same for all people or implying that we’re all on street drugs.
Well said fellow ADHDer!

I don't personally take any meds but support those who do.
I get by on Lion's Mane, Ashwagandha, and lots of exercise!

Ignore the troll.😘

As a fellow neurodivergent with ADHD. I agree. The trolls are showing their ignorance. Not everyone with ADHD needs medication. That doesn't mean you don't have it.
My biggest problem with Russia is exactly this. Not just the doping but the gaslighting and constantly playing the victim for getting caught. The Valieva doping scandal was the height of all the ugliness.

Great to know there are ADHDers on FSU!
I'm currently well into writing a book where the main character just happens to have ADHD. It's not central to the plot though.

Assumption is not a claim. Both "Alysa on light meth" or "She is not" are assumptions. Why one assumption is over another.
That's the whole point with WADA. It's a closed organisation with closed for public data unless Russian hackers tell us the truth. WADA should be abolished and a new organisation shall be established, with new rules, documentations, the one that actually cares about athletes' health and not about politics.

An assumption is a claim that is not based on evidence.

If you really don't see anything morally or ethically wrong here, let's put it in legal terms.

If I publicly accuse you of taking drugs because I assume that it is so, I am accusing you of wrongful behavior based on nothing. This is, depending on how this information is being put forth, libel or slander.

If I don't make a public accusation that you are taking drugs because, regardless of what I might think, I recognize that I don't have any evidence, then I haven't libeled or slandered you.

That's because people recognize that it is morally and ethically wrong to make public allegations without having some evidence to back them up and that's why one assumption over the other.

If your point is that WADA is a corrupt organization, you can surely make that case with actual evidence.

I suggest moving on.

ISU now with AIN stuff is like old farty idiots from the Internet. ISU don't have any legal grounds anymore for AIN. One more proof that it's not a sport organisation but a rentier.

No, it's not. It's not up to WADA to disclose data but to its national agencies and they do it according to the rules of their respective countries. In France AFLD discloses everything on its website once the sanction has been decided. It's not the case in Germany or the US for instance, according to their own rules. Check your facts before posting. No need for Russian hackers who should focus on what's happening in their home country, it'd keep them busy enough.

I had wondered, when I heard about the IOC move, if the ISU leadership had decided to "get ahead of the curve". It sounds as if I might have been right.

Even if they had, it was a stupid move in the first place. Now it's all gone now. There is absolutely no legal grounds for ISU to do what they are doing. And look how all fighters for "law" here immediately got quiet with nothing to say. Hypocrites.

Crucially, the IOC has also made it clear that individual sports and competitions have discretion to make their own decisions regarding Russia – with many sports expected to allow Russian teams and anthems to return long before the LA Games.

For now, though, Fifa and Uefa say there are no immediate plans to allow Russia’s club and national teams back into international competition. Last week World Athletics also upheld its decision to exclude Russian and Belarusian athletes from any international competition.

So how come nobody's sueing them? The ISU isn't allmighty, anything it does without legal ground can be overturned and.or sanctionned. Ever heard of CAS? How come Russia and Belaruss don't press charges? Have they morphed into a bunch of masochistic losers now? Cause if what you say is true, that's what they are. Thank you for this beautiful demonstration proving exactly the contrary of what you intended
