I came across 2 interviews and 1 news item on the Hungarian federation website:

This interview with Julia S. was posted on Dec. 8, 2017 - "Figure skating is like a puzzle": http://moksz.hu/mukorcsolya/sebestyen-juli-mukorcsolya-olyan-mint-puzzle
(Google translation into English)

Excerpts:

Q: Several years have been working together with multiple Hungarian champions Szabolcs Vidrai. Outside who are you helping your job?
Yes, we have been working together with Szabolcs for five years and we are complementing each other. I was striving to build a strong technical staff. That is why in almost every area, other professionals help young people. Anna Gellén teaches ballet and dancing, Andrea Simon Balla and Bianka Juhász hold uplifting and dry training sessions, Attila Elek is responsible for skating technique and choreography, and do not forget about Andreas Szászi who is making beautiful dresses for the contestants. I think that figure skating is like a huge puzzle where small pieces of small pieces have to be restored to make a good result. Not to mention that judges and audiences need to get the likes of the end result.
Q: What is the reason why you do not work with Ivett Tóth together?
I think we had a very nice trip with Ivett, who naturally has the work of his former trainer and the professional staff who work with me. European Championships ranked the top ten and won the Olympic Quota. I'm sorry it was that way. I think that the relationship that should have worked together was no longer there, but we continue to support her.
Julia started "Sebestyén Skating SE" in 2012 and she also works as an ISU technical specialist.

This interview was posted on Dec. 6, 2017: http://moksz.hu/mukorcsolya/vidrai-szabolcs-nagyinterju

Excerpts:
Q: How and how can you motivate the boys to skate? Because in many places figure skating, ice dancing is a woman's sport in the public domain, or at least not as a typical male sport.
It's a very painful question, and it's quite true. At the moment in the circle where I move, the task is to get to the guys who can be motivated because they do not really come skating at us. But I can encourage them in a number of ways, at least based on the experiences of recent years. First, by pointing out that figure skating is an acrobatic, skillful sport on the artistic side, which can challenge them. If I can not catch them with the acrobatic, artistic side - and here I'm going to be a bit funny about the end of this sentence - I'm saying that skating girls are very nice, so you definitely should try it because there are few boys, stupidity is not coming here.
The Hungarian National Skating Federation, in my opinion, has an absolute new mindset. Based on the experience of the past year, the way in which events are compiled, what requirements are set, what kind of trainings are completely changed has changed completely. In September I attended all the training and found my work extremely useful. I see that we are developing, which is very sympathetic, and this development motivates member organizations, coaches and associations. I would have wanted to say this absolutely because the training is very great. There are expectations, of course there is some rigor and a little pressure, but I say this is useful. I consider the current situation to be orderly and transparent.

This article is dated Nov. 17 and introduces 4 Hungarian skating officials who will be at the 2018 Olympics: http://moksz.hu/szovetseg/negy-magyar-korcsolya-biro-teli-olimpian
The 2 figure skating judges are:
Ms. Katalin Balczo (ladies' event)
Ms. Zsuzsanna Vikarne-Homolya (pairs event)

I haven't found any published Olympic selection criteria on the fed. website re. the 1 lady's spot (paging @drfj).

Ivett Toth won the Santa Claus Cup (161.89 total score) in Budapest last week. This was her international season debut after her foot surgery in August that led to her WD from Rostelecom Cup - re-posting her videos from the Kiss & Cry & OES threads:
SP (54.65 2nd): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_APRBr-uRnY
Jumps: 3T+3T fall, / 3Lz< (2-fted), 2A.
FS (107.24 1st): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z05MwaHc_TU
Jumps were 3Lz+2T, 1F, 3Lo<, 3Lz< / 3T+1Lo+2S, 3S+2A, 2A + all level 4 spins & footwork.
All 3 of her ISU personal best scores are from 2017 Europeans: 172.65 (Total), 61.49 (SP) and 111.16 (FS).

Fruzsina Medgyesi placed 10th (139.87) at Santa Claus Cup:
SP (48.79 7th): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEcFQa1wvs4
FS (91.08 9th): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7ChWcRAUt4
2 of her ISU personal best scores were set at 2017 CS Lombardia Trophy in September: 137.26 (Total) and 93.59 (FS).

Toth and Medgyesi just finished competing at the Four Nationals Championships in SVK and it was close between them:
Silver - Fruzsina MEDGYESI HUN 140.53 2 3 (51.82 SP, 88.71 FS)
Bronze - Ivett TOTH HUN 136.98 4 2 (47.39 SP, 89.59 FS)

Hungary has 2 ladies' spots for 2018 Europeans so I assume how each performs/scores in Moscow will determine who goes to PyeongChang?

There is a quite interesting qualification system for the season's ISU Championships and the Olympic, published in the middle of November, not before the start of the season.Tóth has advantage for the Olympic, but if on the Europeans there will be just a small difference between the two competitors, there will be another qualification competition after the Europeans for the two ladies
