It was just posted on FS Gossips that Ilia will be spending the next two weeks working with Arutyunyan at Great Park Ice to set his programs for the upcoming season. Doesn't Ilia normally work with Arutyunyan after his programs have been finished? I wonder if this has anything to do with his announcement.

He usually goes out to Irvine in the summer to work with Shae-Lynn. I don't believe she's ever traveled to Virginia for his choreo, rather he goes to her, and works with Raf at the same time.

This is the same thing from yesterday that was posted upthread. I still have no idea what his "serious announcement" is.

It was just posted on FS Gossips that Ilia will be spending the next two weeks working with Arutyunyan at Great Park Ice to set his programs for the upcoming season. Doesn't Ilia normally work with Arutyunyan after his programs have been finished? I wonder if this has anything to do with his announcement.

I think Raf mostly focuses on jumps. That's the impression I've gotten from Nathan, Adam, and Mariah. I don't think he needs to have his programs already choreographed to work with Raf, and I highly doubt that Raf is going to choreograph them.

But, given that both Raf and Shae Lynne are in southern California, it wouldn't surprise me if he's going to be working with both of them over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the recap @spin2win! Kao Miura will be skating at Ilia's rink in VA - translated article excerpt from the Japanese news thread:

He revealed that he will be going to Virginia, USA for two weeks starting next week to apprentice under Malinin, explaining, (Malinin) enters every jump from the same motion and jumps smoothly. I hope to learn that from him." He said he had made the request himself when they performed together in ice shows during the off-season, and will mainly focus on improving his jumps.

Ilia streamed again today (again with Jacob, they played Minecraft for 6 hours):

• Another new youtube video coming out in few days (today he posted a video laying out a challenge to reach the "Unreal" rank in fortnite)
• he plans on breaking the score box again this season. This is speculated either a quad-quad combo and/or quints because he mentioned 4Lz+4Lo and quints by name
• He was very unhappy that he couldn't do his planned free layout given the music he and Shae Lynn Bourne chose. Specifically he had combos lined up to the music that he can't do after getting feedback from ISU that he could not do an euler combo and a 3 jump axel sequence. Later mentioned that these were comfortable combos and one of them was toe-euler-sal [4T+Eu+4S?]
• He enjoyed going to Washington DC yesterday with friends as he normally doesn't go despite being close [he posted about this and set off wild response from fans online because of who was in the picture with him (Haein Lee)]
• Kao is apparently coming tomorrow. They may make content together while training. He's also taking Kao to a race next weekend in DC as he was invited [speculated to be the IndyCar race that is happening on national mall]
• Ilia apparently fractured his ankle over his lutz edge earlier in career [this came up because Jacob complimented ilia's lutz]
• They're both excited for Nika Egadze's Spiderman program this year
• His little sister came on to play with the cats and Ilia mentioned she won some kind of skating competition recently
• He thought Abu Dhabi was a country and he met Harry Potter
• He wants to go to 4CC this year since it's in Kazakhstan (as a visitor)
• he did 2 backflips on camera
• it turns out he was trolling fans when he "leaked" 5 seconds of program music on friday, that's not music he's using
• not sure about where his first skate of year will be
• he changed boot models to another one made by Risport
• he showed off his new cat Mila

Uh it was kind of deranged by the end, for this recap I will include some not skating stuff

• Program announcement soon, Kao has seen both programs
• Kao making a lot of progress
• He skipped champs camp because Kao came to visit and train with him
• Some kind of travel planned soon (no idea what for)
• he is changing his hair and quitting purple shampoo use
• yes he was sad and upset about alysa not competing this season
• he was sad about dolly parton
• Kao enjoyed the indycar race they went to
• New youtube content being worked on
• Making costume designs, satomi ito is doing one set of his costumes
• first competition skate america, very likely no challenger or tune up
• he is registering for classes after taking hiatus for olympics [so he is going back to george mason university]
• specifically a photography class, no idea what he wants to major in
• he does this half-meme half-serious thing where his favorite element changes from stream to stream (kind of based on practice), today he said choreo spin after hating it a few weeks ago; then he might have trolled by saying "you never know" to doing a layback spin
• he has come up with new fun jump combos [what this means nobody knows lol]
• he changed his skate lace color from red to something else [that kills off spiderman rumors]
• the other half-meme half-serious thing he does is change what his favorite jump is stream to stream (also kind of based on practice) -- yesterday it was 4Lo, and he said his 4F was nowhere to be found and lutz is getting little better (in previous stream he said he was struggling with lutz)
• he said he was media trained
• a notorious user (who is probably not well) who has been harassing him on various sites started typing nasty things in chat. ilia read the messages and ended up confronting the user for being a crazy hater and saying nonsense things about him [like bodyshaming/fat shaming, making claims that ilia is mentally ill/disabled, etc.].
• said user then escalated further and called ilia's phone via telegram. ilia was asking chat if he should take the call but chat talked him out of it
• ilia did not have any moderators online for the stream and ended up having to ban that user himself
• ilia is very online and sees a lot of comments/activity from trolls and haters. he said it was a hard thing that used to affect him deeply but now he's learned and is used to them (in a kind of "it is what it is" cost of being a public figure way)
• he confirmed that his "I Was Made for Lovin You" gala program was self-choreographed
• his program reveals this year will be "subtle" -- only 10 seconds of each and leaving fans to figure it out on there own [he clearly is enjoying being mysterious and trolling fans, kind of like an enigma or a riddler]
• in future he wants to be able to upload his skates to his youtube page
