Ilia did an unexpected Twitch streaming on Tuesday and he said a number of things, including:

He hasn't yet decided which competition he will do this season. He hasn't thought about his programs yet.

He may make a training Vlog with Kao Miura. He says that Kao will visit him later in August, but Kao is scheduled to compete in the Summer Cup 2026 (August 8-12) and the CS Kinoshita Group Trophy (September) 4-6. There is also Champs Camp during the week of August 24. Ilia says he will be busy and out of town for the next few weeks. How will all these things turn out?

He is going to perform at Sun Valley this weekend, but no hints about what else he is doing while out of town for weeks.

Could be either of those things. But some fans are speculating it's a change in his social media handle. I do remember him saying/posting a few months ago (maybe right before or after Worlds) about a new name for the next quad. Of course, a new moniker could mean an end to his "Quadg0d" branding but maybe he'll also be announcing new merch. Who knows?

As an aside, i saw him posting that he was trying new blades, which i think were Jackson blades. I see here, he's went back to his John Wilson Gold Seal Revs... which are the superior choice. I was wondering if he'd keeep them or not

Don't skaters plan out their run to the Olympics? After Nagano loss in '98, Kwan went "Pro/AM" w/ a lite schedule in '99, skipping the Grand Prix! It hurt her as Maria Butyrskaya beat her out at Worlds in 1999! I hope Ilia doesn't overdo it!

I have no idea what that meant or what the "serious announcement" is. Just more of a tease. So, the tease is "something" and not nothing, though pretty close to nothing. If it's simply that he's going to compete this season, then the hints were pretty dumb and misleading. I think he's probably got something minor he's going to tell us. Perhaps a dog this time?

I mean I think this announcement is something but not nothing -- there was thinking that he would not compete or only do partial season, especially earlier in offseason. Maybe a bit dramatic but that's okay, eccentricity is a-ok

The ISU also made a Vision 2030 so it’s not exclusive to Saudi Arabia.
