Looks like Aymoz had a very rough free skate. I hope this won't be repeated at more important competitions...

P/C get 137.31 in the free dance, better than they did in 2019. 231.10 total, well ahead of 2019. The FFSG is not messing around.

Protocols here. It's not all L4s!

Yup, especially since Galyavieva/Thauron didn't compete this weekend.

I think even with them here still Lopareva/Brissaud would be Second, it looks the Federation already picked them as the next in line

I thought G/T were with Barbara F-P in Italy now? Lopareva/Brissaud and Wagret/Souquet both also train in Moscow now, and both made it to Epinal.
Lopareva/Brissaud sometimes work in Moscow but, unlike Wagret/Souquet, their training base is still in Lyon with Fabian Bourzat and Roxanne Petetin.

Why the negavitiy around Galyavieva/Thauron? They were so promising last year, as were Lopareva/Brissaud. It's too bad there is no spot for either to go to the Olympics, and if P&C don't go to Worlds, they will end up in the same situation as Spain with two teams battling over one spot.

If P/C finish out their careers at a home Worlds in March (which is why I think there's a chance they will, even with Olympic gold), then there's a good chance we see 3 teams from France able to go to Worlds next year. Then they can all really start to fight for the top spot.

P/C's program is fantastic, there's no doubt. I like that the character step sequence occurs naturally with the pacing of the music rather than tacking something on at the end to fit it in, but if there's a critique that I have, it's the shapes of the movements in the last 45 seconds to nearly one minute of the program. It's not moving outwards at all, and they are only covering a very small section of center ice throughout. Fits the music? Yes. Can they do a little bit more in those 45 seconds? I think so. The lifts are fantastic, and they came out strong in their first showing.

As far as total body commitment and overall skating, I think P/C just run away with it. They add small flourishes to every single element (and even the in-betweens) that show they are just always in total control and confident with their edges. Some of the teams right behind them are either too proper (stiff) with their alignment or hitting messy positions a lot of the time while trying to be fluid. They are perfectly in between those worlds.

That's what I feel now too re: the last minute. I also think the ChSt needs some tweaks - don't think the highlight of the music is utilized to the fullest yet. Anyway, it's only early October now.

Amazing and so clean for this part of the season. They have increased the kinds of movement they have mastered. And I am distantly related to Faure so I love the music!

Well for me they are amazing technicians but it felt ten mins long. Loved their rhythm dance though. I hope they tweak it and amp it up a bit, great final spin though and their lifts are always great.

Is there any news on why Galyavieva/Thauron didn't compete?
I was coming in here to see if they had shown up for this. It's very unusual that they have not been entered in any of the early season Challengers. (I'd guess something is up that has delayed their season).

ETA: Double checked their GP assignments. Both of the last events. (Again, I'd guess something has delayed their season). They have some time.

Do you know what are the maximum theoretical scores for the RD and for the FD this season?

Maximum score with all elements called Level 4 and all +5 GOE

Rhythm Dance = 96.14 **
Free Dance = 141.58
Total Score = 237.72

** I couldn't find the exact scale of value and GOE for the Partial Step sequence which base value is 8.46 (0.01 higher than a step sequence) so the GOE could be 4.96 (+0.50-1.00)
