I see that we have not yet begun this thread to list our favorite programs & moments from Worlds...so why not have one for 2021 Stockholm?!

I’ll begin with favorites in the Ladies discipline...not necessarily highest scoring or winners. In my case, I’m listing skaters & programs that I truly love & want to rewatch, listed in the order performed. Those who I loved in both stages are bold. Those who failed to advance to finals are italics.

LADIES
SPs -
Madeline Schizas (Can) Stranger in Paradise
Olga Mikutina (Austria) Sing Sing Sing
Julia Lang (Hungary) The Waltz Goes on...so limber & flowing!

Overall winner based on beauty of the programs and performances:
OLGA MIKUTINA of Austria!

MEN ... the most talented performance-packed discipline, IMO

SP-
Peter Hallam (GB) Footloose
Donovan Carrillo (Mex) Big Band medley
Han Yan (China) 1,000 Years
Konstantin Miliukov (Belarus) Nutcracker
Yuma Kagiyama (Japan) Vocussion

Overall top pair, both performances: Easy MISHINA & GALIAMOV

DANCE
RDs-

Zakharova/Davis (Bulg) Chicago...super choreography!
Nazarova/Nikitin (Ukraine) 42nd Street...esp the lift
Lajoie/Lagha (Can) West Side Story ... THE performers of the event!
Hawayek/Baker (USA) Saturday Night Fever ... this never grows old
Wang/Liu (China) Chaplins
Gilles/Poirier (Can) Mack & Mabel
Sinitsina/Katsalapov (Rus) Singin’ in the Rain

FDs-
Nazarova/Nikitin (Ukr) Rene Aubrey medley
Lajoie/Lagha (Can) Rio!!!
Hurtado/Khaliavin (Spain) flamenco
Hawayek/Baker (USA) Heart of Glass
Zagorsky/Guerreiro (Rus) Survivor...most fierce program.
Guignard/Fabbri (Italy) Atonement

My absolute favorite Dance team overall:
LAJOIE/LAGHA of Canada

I’ll keep negatives to a minimum:
Chock/Bates? Maybe it’s just me but that snake has become a bit stale... sometimes, when a program & dress become so iconic, it just can’t be repeated with the same impact. I felt the same about Sui/Han’s LP in Pairs. As for Gilles/Poirier’s beautifully rendered FD...that croaky off-pitch voice killed it for me, sorry...I remember a version when Joni Mitchell was younger and sang on-pitch. 😂 Trusova? I’d love to someday see her skate two beautiful programs & actually interpret music. I know she has it in her.

Guignard / Fabbri: 'Atonement' free dance (also, bonus mention to their beautiful new '7+3' exhibition)
Hubbell / Donohue: 'Hallelujah' free dance
Zahorski / Guerrerio: 'Survivor' free dance
Fournier Beaudry / Sorensen: 'Bonnie and Clyde' rhythm dance

Ziegler / Kiefer: 'Another Love' free skate (hope they keep this for the Olympics!)
Mishina / Galliamov: 'Esmerelda' short program

Liza Tuktamysheva: 'Mischievous Bird' free skate
Olga Mikutina: 'Primavera' free skate

Nathan Chen: 'Philip Glass' free skate
Matteo Rizzo: 'The Greatest Showman' free skate

Not at Worlds, but a couple of other programs I've really enjoyed this season:
Ekaterina Mironova and Evgenii Ustenko: Medusa-themed free dance
Kamila Valieva: 'Storm' short program

I’ll keep negatives to a minimum:
Chock/Bates? Maybe it’s just me but that snake has become a bit stale... sometimes, when a program & dress become so iconic, it just can’t be repeated with the same impact.
Agree about Chock/Bates. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Snake Dance to begin with, but I think last season was their 'moment' with it, and while I understand why they kept it (injury, less ice time due to current situation etc.) it definitely didn't feel as impactful as last season. I imagine the lack of audience at both US Nationals and Worlds also contributed to it feeling a little 'stale'.
As for Gilles/Poirier, I really wonder what they'll do next season: stick to the soft, emotional ballads that have been serving them so well or take a different approach?
Same idea applies to Fear/Gibson: stick with the fun, disco-y stuff that's gaining them the judge (and audience) love and risk being seen as 'one trick ponies' or try something different and risk potentially dropping down the rankings?

If Gilles/Poirier keep the FD, I’d love to see it skated to the earlier (smooth-voiced, on-pitch, happier) Joni Mitchell recording of the song. Or the Judy Collins version. Why, oh why, did they go with a croaky voice version? Such a lovely program, overall.

In general, I hope that we see mostly NEW programs next year from all skaters. For me, the only possible exception would be Kolyada’s Nureyev/White Crow LP...just to see it skated perfectly. 🙏

Mitchell's later version is very well-regarded and, as far as ice dance goes, has more fitting orchestration and more weight in the vocals. But they aren't keeping the program, they've already got (unspecified) new music edited for next season.

For me, Han Yan both programs, A Thousand Years and La La Land. But the latter in particular, it is one of the few I will watch over and over and over again. Watched it many times prior to Worlds.
