RIP Dick Enberg,

For those unaware, among many the many sports and events he covered, he was part of the World Championships broadcast team between 1991-1994 for NBC.

He also provided commentary for the first Landover World Pro Skating on NBC in 1981.

I'm sorry to hear this news. Dick Enberg seemed ageless. But I guess I haven't actually seen him on television recently. Time does fly. I find Dick Enberg delightfully memorable. He always seemed to be such a positive, happy, witty person who enjoyed his work. Such wonderful and well-deserved praise for this legendary sports broadcaster.

I don't love all those sports, I don't follow them all, but I love the way he conveyed his love of the games

Just saw this. Such sad news. RIP, Dick Enberg. To me, he was the epitome of how sports commentary was supposed to be. Fond memories of him and Wimbledon.

I am sad to hear the news too. Watching tennis and figure skating were the sports I remember him from and he lent a gravitas and professionalism to those events, was never overly harsh or critical (he could be quite humorous) , and you could tell he enjoyed what he did and the sports he covered. I will miss that easily recognizable voice. RIP, sir.
