I do not like Turkkila's dress. The top and skirt do not even look like they go together.

Sort of disagree - her skirt has pink flowers scattered around the hem - I liked how it tied the two pieces together. Though, I do think the top itself should have looked more like a short-sleeved cardigan with puffy sleeves than the sleeveless style they chose.

Kinda not sad that Sr Pairs got cancelled for Budapest Trophy this year. The camerawork for the jr pairs is not off to a good start - one of the skaters is out of the screen on the SBS jumps and we only saw the woman during the lift - the cameraperson clearly does not understand that the man's footwork on lifts is equally important!

Ok, now that I’ve seen the program, I’ll comment more. Fantastic unison and bladework! When the music switched to “Daddy Cool”, though, I had a hard time focusing on them since Mouaden/Bigot used that music so effectively on the junior circuit. I kept comparing the program to the young French team’s. Of course, there’s room for both a younger version and a more mature program to the same music, it just startled me.

I’m sure there’s plenty of U.S. skaters he could have teamed with, but he probably wouldn’t be getting international assignments as a brand-new senior in a new partnership in the deep field that is U.S. dance.
