2026 Tour de France

Le Monde
Tour de France organizers announced on Saturday, July 11, that the next day's ninth stage would be shortened by 30 kilometers due to the "intense heatwave" in the central Corrèze region. The decision was made after French weather authorities declared a "red alert due to an exceptionally intense heatwave" in Corrèze.

Good decisicion

You are not- but I am a couple of days behind. That ride up the Tourmalet was INSANE! I'm leaving for Ireland in a few days. I'm torn between trying to watch as though I'm watching live, or searching for Irish cycling coverage.

The heat is getting to everyone, I think. Bob Roll is sniping more than usual at Phil Liggett every time Liggett misspeaks, which is more and more often.

It will be interesting to see who recovers and who doesn’t from today’s rest day.

Yeah- I love Phil, but his mis-speaking in recent years has become impossible to ignore. I miss Paul Sherwin. I'm still a couple of days before the rest day (still watching as if live, so I don't know anything after stage 8).

I wish there was a stream without commentary. I usually watch the broadcast with the sound off, but then I miss the sound of the bikes, the applause and so on. That’s why I only watch Le Tour now and then.

I've been less interested than usual this year due to the lack of real competition in the yellow jersey. There are always good subplots and the scenes fantastic as always
