Normally, I would think this was just a misktake but USFS inexplicably relinquished a host spot at Skate America last year in the Men's discipline

Hmm. And the guy we sent to Worlds only had one.

(I'm just saying that this isn't a pattern that should be repeated).

There was speculation last year that there might have been a trade of favors between federations. Maybe something similar is happening this time?

I believe that Adeliia Petrosian should be 1st on the GP Alternates list since her AIN status has been updated to reflect that she's approved for the coming season. I know she's announced she's focused on healing her injuries & it doesn't seem likely she will compete but she's probably included on the Alts list until she declines any assignments.

And Petr Gumennik will jump ahead of Samoilov once his AIN status is approved for the coming season.

Do we assume that the Russian federation submitted Gumennik late? It's wild that a Putin fanboy like Kondratiuk was already approved, but Gumennik, who was approved for the Olympics already, isn't yet.

Still waiting on the NHK vacancy to be filled but it should go to Liu/Bedard seeing as they're one spot ahead of CalMag on the Alternates List. I presume it's just a delay in communications between the JSF inviting LiuBed and the USFS accepting the invitation & notifying the ISU due to the various time zones involved.

2026 (mostly domestic) Summer Scores of Skaters with 1 or no GP events
Mostly USA, CAN, JPN with a couple others thrown in. Not sure how to incorporate China with their possibly wildly inflated summer scores...(Dai 253 in Men, Ruiyang 214 in Women, etc)

Just FYI these scores have no effect on anything with regard to GP spots, but still interesting to consider. Except for Yuseong, whose Cranberry winning score puts her above Young You on the alternates list. So, 1 spot higher.
