Kate O’Connor is now in the lead in the Heptathlon after the Javelin. She’s 51 points clear, around 3 seconds, with the 800 to go.

As usual few dropped batons in the relay but both Irish teams made it through. Hunter Bell looked very easy in the 1,500, behind her the medals are open. I was disappointed to see that Laura Muir failed to make the final.

Well done to Werro winning gold last night. I thought taking the lead would work in Keely’s favour but Audrey held her off. Well done to Bol on her bronze, it’s been a successful transition to the 800.

Barring disaster in the 800 Kate O’Connor is going to get the gold.
