2026-27 US Pairs Discussion - Howe Nagy to Twist Your Way to Starrdom

[Theatregirl1122]

Feels like a waste. He is a strong skater. I don’t understand why he and Olivia (?) split, after Starr chose Parkman.

Because their split had nothing to do with Starr and everything to do with their partnership?

[Sarah]

I loved Flores and Wang, but they were a team that needed to split. Not all junior teams can and should remain together. Their results over the past season or so showed that. I hope they both do great things with other partners!

... Kelly Ann Lauren, please, at least consider some trials with the pair boys from US...

Apparently Starr Andrew and Daniil Parkman are “Parkman”
(Edited to add it is actually “Starrman”)

I feel like I'm missing something. if they want to go by only one of their names, it might as well be Starr

Oops it’s actually “Starrman”!

[my little pony]

that's better! they should definitely lead with Starr

[miffy]

Please let them do an exhibition to David Bowie’s Starman

[my little pony]

we could have a poll with the top songs with star in them to suggest as a program as if they care what we think (and they shouldnt)

they could do a whole medley of shining star, lucky star, star people an then end on Starman, maybe wearing their own merch

Maybe start it with a nicely caught/landed 2-twist to Catch a Falling Star

Is she little enough for him to put her in his pocket?

Seems like Spencer has better leverage for the throws. Definitely seems like better height on the jump. She also posted a her triple toe triple toe like a week ago that I think Spencer filmed. High hopes!

I do not have Instagram account, cannot watch it :-(

You don’t need Instagram. Stories only last 24 hours, though.

Any word on if Ashley Cain is still planning a comeback?

She seems to be busy coaching & wedding planning. I know that was floated out there as a rumor but I haven't seen anything that really substantiates it.

Nate Bartholomay posted that he and Charlene Bailey are training in Canada now. I guess holding the Canadian flag means they are representing Canada now too?

I saw that on my feed and I wasnt sure who was skating and who was coaching. I mean it could go either way.

Oh wow! I’m planning to watch the Sectional Series summer skate event in August at Kitchener-Waterloo skating club so hopefully they will compete there!

[kwanfan1818]

There's a twist: Stellato-Dudek, whose first pairs partner was Bartholomay for the US, switched to Canada and now Bartholomay decides to skate for Canada as she heads back to the US?

[peibeck]

Maybe start it with a nicely caught/landed 2-twist to Catch a Falling Star

Way to tempt the skate gods!

Considering all the back and shoulder problems he had, his returning to competitive skating is a surprise to me. However, as he is certainly eye candy, I have no real objection.

A couple of years ago at the Boitano Lounge, Nate lifted me into a pairs lift as I’d always wanted to know what it was like. I’d always admired pairs skaters and the experience increased my admiration for them tenfold. The timing it takes to even get into the lift and the sheer strength/flexibility it takes to hit the positions is unreal. And they make it look so easy.

Nate and Charlene started competing together last year, but injuries shut down their season pretty early. Hopefully they can have more success this time around.

Starrman continue to progress, triple flip throw has been landed: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dad9CEkS6r7/

I've never heard a better reason to buy a ticket to the Boitano Lounge.
