2026-27 Program Music and Choreographers

Rio Nakata (Japan Men)

The SP music is similar to Shoma Uno's Great Spirits and has been choreographed by Shae-Lynn Bourne. (music is not specified)

The FS is the same as last season's, Gladiator, but Misha Ge will refine it. Rio hopes to include steps like Yagudin's.

SP or FS: Thriller by Michael Jackson
Choreographed by: Misha Ge

Olivia Smart gave a hint on her podcast for the RD but you have to go back through her previous videos to find it as she said she had played the music on one of them.

Kao Miura (Japan, Senior Men)

SP: Mambo

(Since the article is behind the paywall, here is a summary)

Kao's new SP is Mambo, which will be choreographed by Kana Muramoto. Daisuke Takahashi skated to Mambo during the 2010–11 season, inspiring Kao to do this program (the music is partly different).

Kao decided to ask Kana after seeing her work on Mayuko Oka's SP, Moment Magico (the program in which Mayuko portrays a peacok) this season, which impressed him greatly.

Ooooo I think I figured out what Olivia and Tim are skating to for the RD. She gave a hint on Whatever this is. On Tiktok someone suggested it was Ramalama Bang Bang which she said was one of the pieces of music she really wanted to skate to in an episode. I think that might be what they are going to use for a March because it absolutely lends itself to that. And I skated to it years ago so I know it really well.

Don't know what they will use for a waltz but if that is being used for the program, I cannot wait to see it.

ETA - Rosalia has a few waltzes which could go with Ramalama. Now that would be a cool combination.

I would be stuck on Zhiganshina/Gazsi "Rama Lama" zombie FD flashbacks. Though it has been 13 years so that'd probably just be a me problem.
I was trying to remember who the team was that skated to it. Thanks.

I remember Shen & Zhao's exhibition to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjKPNihBVgo. Shen was really into it. It definitely used a lot of the Wade Robson choreo elements/costuming from SYTYCD. Was Z/G's good? I can't seem to find a video of it.

It's here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqRywdhLoKk

I wasn't personally a fan, but it got a ton of buzz, I think they skated it in shows for awhile after the season.
Thanks for posting that. Will have a look at it later.

When I was practising with it, one of the coaches at my rink keep complaining how much he hated it. I just laughed at him (I did get on with him pretty well).

Same! I hope she can bring the facial intensity to the music because this could be a fabulous program.
