Hase/Volodin showcased their new, deeply moving short program. In it, the pair tells the story of Berlin, their hometown, set to the techno vibes of the song "1989" by electronic DJ Laake. A completely new style that touches the audience and carries a deeper meaning. "In our short program, we tell the story of Berlin, addressing the fall of the Berlin Wall, the East and West, and ultimately, reunification," says Minerva Hase. The costumes will have a graffiti-inspired look, inspired by the Wall. The short program was choreographed by their long-time choreography team, Mark Pillay and Paul Boll.

Hocke/Kunkel also showed their programs in Berlin - from the article:

Act 1 seems oddly specific, I wonder if their FD will be Act 2??

Act 1 has a waltz, so that may be why that's specified.

Davis & White also used Giselle for their short dance in 2012-13, but in that case the waltz was the other rhythm (the pattern was Yankee Polka that season).
