2026-2027 NFL Season

I guess the Jesse Minter era is off to a good start! I hope the team saved some scoring for the home opener next week.

Local media has been talking about the 'grudge match' nature of this game, but most of the current players weren't even alive or old enough to remember the Ravens coming to Baltimore, much less the Colts leaving. Same for a good portion of the fans.

I'm old. :slinkaway

Who Dey!!! :D The Bengals are gonna be fun to watch this year if this defense shows up for every game (not worried about the offense...they usually start slow and get better as the season goes along). Happy to get that first win today! :cheer:

Good to see my Cowboys “revamped defense” is no better than last year. It may be a long season for me.
It is early and preseason is nothing compared to what it used to be. They might round into form.

I understood the commentators said that Kyler and Carson were pretty equal in training camp?

Carson has been pretty solid for us. I have no worries about him being able to do the job. But Murray didn't even make it through a quarter before that concussion. Not faulting him for the dirty hit. I just feel bad for him; we didn't really get to see what he could do when the nerves settled down. And it looks like he could be out another week if he doesn't clear the concussion protocol. Not a great way to start his career here. :(

I was at the twins cross country match today. The KC shirts vs Broncos shirts were out in force
One guy had KC gear and he turned to his wife who had Broncos gear - pointed to me (KC gear) and said, she's got it right.

Jordan Love is having a horrible 4th quarter

You're kidding? A horrible 4th quarter? What about 6 straight losses including 2 humiliating ones to the Bears who'd owned them this century under the spell of Favre, then Rodgers, finally w/ Love until the end of last season! I can't get enuf of watching those comebacks by the Bears over GB on You Tube! The fans reaction was over the top! Everything happened in those games including the playoff! :2faced:

Meanwhile, the MN Vikings are on a six-game winning streak spanning back to last year (ignoring the preseason, because those games are really just glorified practice sessions). This despite the quarterback carousel that's been happening since Darnold departed for greener pastures (literally -- Seattle gets very little snow, lol). But I've said it before, I'll say it again, the Vikings get pretty much zero respect. As evidenced by the fact that NFL.com still has the Packers several spots above the Vikings in the power rankings. Grrrr.

i enjoyed seeing the high scoring games last week but I do wonder if we will see more defensive battles in the coming weeks. I was surprised by the Texans weak defense last week and wonder what Joe Burrow has in store for them this week. And that Vikings/Bears has the potential to be explosive. Looking forward to an entertaining afternoon.

Well the Vikings made fools of the Chicago Bears today, after the Bears great opener last week. And we lost our starting QB as well. But the Vikings seemed to do well with their backup QB.

The Bears still had a chance w/ just a min. left in the game! Even when they moved the ball, they seemed to self-destruct w/ flags & dropped balls! The turnovers were horrible when so close to scoring! The ball was wet & it was pouring, but that's why they gt paid the big bucks! Caleb was under siege all game long! The pocket had humongous holes in it as rushers came thru uncovered! Caleb was lucky to make it to the 4th quarter! :40beers::D

A number of folks said to watch out for New Orleans during preseason and I thought "why?" But they did come through today against a good Ravens team. And I was dubious about Kirk Cousins being a good fit for the Raiders but he looks very comfortable with them.

Who Dey!!!! That 1st Ja'Marr Chase TD catch has got to be a candidate for catch of the year....not sure how he does that but I am VERY glad that he's on my football team. Amazing body control while falling down! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I accidentally saw how the QB who hurt his elbow got injured and I'm gonna see that in my nightmares for several days. Ouch! :yikes:

That catch was incredible. Your team looks good.

My day begins early tomorrow and I'm wide awake. The Colts went stride for stride with the Chiefs. I could see that game easily ending in a tie.
Oh me too. Although I really thought Sneed/Nolan had the interception.
Never underestimate superman. I mean Patrick's block in the first quarter was amazing

My current amazement is for Kahlil Benson. He just showed up to camp uninvited to try out for the team and now he is playing left tackle and seems to be doing it well. It is not a position he played in college. Once in awhile you get lucky.

Checking from abroad how did the Bears go from 59 points and just only six points yesterday?
Well it was rainy (and from the perspective of livng with so many hot days it looked wonderful.) And the Vikings D was tough!! And then Caleb pulled up with an injury (which totally sucks) but that was the end of the game. It did feel like feast or famine though.
