I got a prompt response from the Nepela Memorial organizing committee after I asked about this:

"Okko Sport holds exclusive broadcasting rights only for the territories of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

For viewers outside these territories, the competition will be available via livestream on Ice-Stars.tv, as in previous years. The link to purchase the livestream pass will be available on the official Nepela.sk website shortly.
"

Found the link: https://ice-stars.tv/nepela-memorial (early bird pass info to come?)

Looks like CS Trialeti Trophy will also be on Ice-Stars.tv again as well: https://ice-stars.tv/figure-skating

Are there any rules for a competition to be considered a challenger or something of the sort? In particular - pairs there are only 4 countries participating and if for some reason, say, URK withdraws (GEO can't because it's Georgia, AIN and USA have more than one pair, so that's the only reason am taking UKR as an exmaple) would a competition where only 3 countries participate still be considered a challenger? I do remember there is something of the sort but absolutely don't remember to which competitions does it apply and whether it's an ISU rule or a RusFed rule for their internal rankings.

From ISU Communication No. 2812:

2.5. Minimum requirements for competitions under paragraph 3.4 to be eligible for [ISU World Standings ranking] points:
2.5.1. Number of competitors
At least the following minimum number of competitors must finish the first segment of the respective competition:
• Men / Women: minimum of eight skaters out of four ISU Members.
• Pair Skating: minimum of five couples out of three ISU Members.
• Ice Dance: minimum of six couples out of four ISU Members.

ISU WS ranking points for the top 8 singles finishers at a Challenger Series event (higher than before):
350
310
275
240
210
185
165
150

For Pairs WS points are awarded to the top 5 and Ice Dance top 6 finishers.

The ISU decides which events are Chellenger Series events. I still haven’t seen the 2026-27 Announcement document listed on the ISU site, but, based on the 2025-26 Announcement document, the rules were:

1. Three/four disciplines have to be included.

2. For the discipline to be considered a CS event for cash (counts for CS standings) and prizes (winner gets to be put on the Alternates list if they don’t have two GP Assignment, plus higher World Standings points), the required judging, referee, and tech panels have to have the minimum numbers, geographic distribution, and credentials and

In addition, the minimum number of entries per discipline are as follows:

• Men / Women: minimum of eight entries each, from at least four ISU Members;

• Pair Skating: minimum of five entries from at least three ISU Members;

• Ice Dance: minimum of six entries from at least four ISU Members.

ETA: based on the Communication document Sylvia linked above, nothing has changed for minimum competitors to qualify the discipline. It does say that four events are considered “core,” and the rest have to applied for.

Shaidorov has the first GP in France, October 23-25, 2026 - he's Olympic champion and is entitled to start his season whenever he wants. :)
He's starting it at Nepela a couple weeks earlier. If DTM was before Trialeti like it was last year, then I suppose he would have chosen DTM but the timing really doesn't work out that well this season.

Re-posting here from the German news thread:

Hocke/Kunkel are not ready to compete at Nebelhorn due to Annika's foot injury sustained earlier this summer:
ETA that their names have yet to be removed from the ISU entries: https://isu-skating.com/en/figure-s...orn-trophy-2026/?tab=entries_16345&type=15781

Trialeti tickets are 50% till 24/9. If someone in Europe (it's a far flight from outside Europe, of course) considers going - do. Batumi is easy to navigate, the sea may still be warm enough to swim and ... cheap

Skate Canada posted their Budapest Trophy Assignments:

Budapest Trophy

October 15-18, 2026
Budapest, Hungary
Men:

Wesley Chiu
John Kim

Women:

Madeline Schizas
Sara-Maude Dupuis

Ice Dance:

Chloe Nguyen & Brenden Giang
Jamie Fournier & Everest Zhu

Interesting as I thought Schizas wasn't planning to skate until the grand prix.
