I think if Deanna wants to continue, sure do it. If you love it, have at it.
But I think it would be important to be realistic as well. For herself and for any potential partner.
For two seasons now she has seemed exasperated at skating poorly and the lack of major medals. And I think it would also be fair to say that for the past season, everything looked like it was hanging on by a thread and on the edge of completely slipping away.
Was that just the stress of the Olympic season and poor management of their training? Maybe. Or maybe it wasn’t.
I think if the passion for training and competition is still strong, then continuing could be a good path. But if frustration at the outcome is going to overshadow the joy and purpose of the training, then it would be something to really think hard about before continuing.
