This team, given their short histories in competitive skating, are obviously a long-term development project, but you can see going into the throws that they have zero confidence in them.

That's a very mature program and it wouldn't have been out of place at the seniors competition. By which, of course, I mean they totally bombed.

Canadians should drop below even the French and Japanese in the free, but they have a nice look together and some very nice pair elements, especially the BODS. From what I’ve seen, they don’t really have the throws just yet, and her double axel sequence was about the best she could hope for.

Not their day for throws, thought they started out well in skating to the beat, but first error got them off and it never completely got back

Rough skate for Jazmine and Kieran. Final lift was good and also some other things but too many errors. Perhaps Toller WAS right after all .... maybe Jasmine shouldn't have worn green (sigh).

a lot of times people say "oh they could win seniors too" and I'm a little eh because for me there's always still something there that screams junior but in this case I do actually believe Zhang/Huang would, if not win, do very well for themselves in senior

I can't wait to see them beating Berulava at worlds.

I found junior pairs to be more innovative and exciting than the senior.

ZhaHua are very focused but... they could be skating to anything or nothing and it wouldn't affect their program in any way.

Unfortunately even though they missed all the jumps, they had a BIG base value advantage over the french. Hopefully the baby french can build their difficulty a bit before JW and they'll be able to challenge for the podium then.
