She seems very self-aware. And I'm happy she has a supportive training environment. The way she expresses is different, but she is just as emo off ice as Kevin. Her interview is very humble, very vulnerable. Interviewer doesn't quite know what to do with her answers lol
Nonono. Amber needs musical rock. Someone needs to acquaint her with Springsteen or Heart. Then Sarah would be my fridge break.
Talking about swapping music, I'd be there for Amber trying her hand at a Kate Bush number.
Wasn't she claiming it was her most consistent jump? That seems a stretch, but it shows she's comfortable with it.Glenn was on fire in the warmup and landed a beautiful 3A and everything else. Of course she should attempt it when she can reliably do it so well.
I mean, before it was as consistent, people were complaining every time she didn't put it in a program. She didn't need it in the free, wish she hadn't attempted it, might have helped with her other jumps.
I think Mark said that she said it became one of her most consistent jumps, which I don’t doubt seeing how long she’s been at trying it to start programs.Wasn't she claiming it was her most consistent jump? That seems a stretch, but it shows she's comfortable with it.
Y'all, Amber clearly connects to the music of today. Stop trying to make her use old people's music (even if it's 100% better)!Nonono. Amber needs musical rock. Someone needs to acquaint her with Springsteen or Heart.
Yup. And the 2nd highest of the US women on the GP through 3 events. We still have yet to see Lindsay debut, but right now, I think Sarah's really putting herself STRONGLY into consideration for a Worlds spot. Her scores between her two Challengers and her first GP are in that 196-202 range that is, in all likelihood, going to finish somewhere between 6th & 9th. That's just where we need her to finish if we want to ensure 3 spots next year.Standard disclaimer about different judging panels, but Sarah's total score would have been 1st at SA, 2nd at SC.
Fine, if there’s some equivalent music of today, go for it.Y'all, Amber clearly connects to the music of today. Stop trying to make her use old people's music (even if it's 100% better)!
I was going to post something similar - her 3A in the warmup had very little setup and looked like just another jump for her. It belongs in all her programs at this point.Glenn was on fire in the warmup and landed a beautiful 3A and everything else. Of course she should attempt it when she can reliably do it so well.
Last week Peacock switched to dog surfing and dog diving. It was amazing. A pug won at surfing. Their low body mass helps them balance on the board but their muscle mass can ground them into the sand sooner as they get closer to shore. I am a fan now.I have dogs on my screen!![]()
That and the fact that Amber beat her in the free solely on PCS.Everhardt 4th in both segments but 5th overall. A bit of a notice to continue to work on that second mark.
If I have to pick between her and Bradie I’d pick Sarah but god she needs performance lessons. And I don’t think she will ever be musical. I need to watch Isabeau or Matsuike’s glorious FP after watching Sarah to remember how it can be done.Yup. And the 2nd highest of the US women on the GP through 3 events. Yes! I just had to look up what kind of dog Yares was because he was so adorable. A Parson Russell Terrier, for the record.I have dogs on my screen!![]()
I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Ilia was pretty wooden his first year in senior. If I have to pick between her and Bradie I’d pick Sarah but god she needs performance lessons. And I don’t think she will ever be musical.
Kiliakov and Novak are in Sara's area perhaps she and Ilia should work with them on performance and skating skills. If I have to pick between her and Bradie I’d pick Sarah but god she needs performance lessons. And I don’t think she will ever be musical. I need to watch Isabeau or Matsuike’s glorious FP after watching Sarah to remember how it can be done.
My perfect three at this point would be Amber, Isabeau and Ava if she were well and skating.![]()
Then along comes a Basset as spoilerLast week Peacock switched to dog surfing and dog diving. It was amazing. A pug won at surfing. Their low body mass helps them balance on the board but their muscle mass can ground them into the sand sooner as they get closer to shore. I am a fan now.
We need a bingo category for pretentious explanations of the choreographer’s ‘vision’.The description of Nina's program still baffles me.
