Event info page with preliminary schedule ("Times TBA") & ticket info: https://www.usfigureskating.org/event/2021-us-international-figure-skating-classic

"Participant Infomation" (link) is not updated - initial entries for this Senior B were published on August 26:
Since then Tennell and Hawayek/Baker have withdrawn (both on 9/1) and Camden Pulkinen (9/8) and Maxine Marie Bautista (8/27) have been added on USFS' International Assignments page.

"The U.S. International Classic will be streamed live on Peacock Premium. The U.S. Challenge Skate will be streamed live for free on the U.S. Figure Skating Fan Zone."

I'll post more info on the U.S. Novice & Challenge Skate (national/domestic invitational) later.

It should be easier to juggle this & the JGP Krasnoyarsk (Siberia) time zones. Not sure yet about possible overlaps with the CS in Canada, though.

Here's a schedule from the Fan Zone web site:

Note: This schedule has the men's event on Thursday night starting at 7:25 whereas the tentative schedule has it starting an hour later. Hope the FanZone time is correct.

I was actually hoping that it would be 8:25pm, to ensure that Women’s SPs event would be over in Canada, but I think that the FanZone’s Time is right. These overlaps are not good.

Does this mean that there’s no way for people outside of the USA to watch?
Looks that way, unfortunately - this also was the case when Icenetwork livestreamed the U.S. Classic from Salt Lake City (usually some videos did appear on YT afterwards...).

I've updated my post #6 above with today's updated event schedule start times; Bychenko and NZL's Jocelyn Hong (she placed 4th at the Middle Atlantics club comp. in NYC this past weekend and is scheduled to compete at Nebelhorn Trophy next week) have WD and practice groups are linked at the bottom of USFS' event page on their website: https://www.usfigureskating.org/event/2021-us-international-figure-skating-classic
I've also copied out all the starting orders for the U.S. Novice & Junior Challenge Skate.

I see that Morisi Kvitelashvili (GEO) isn’t here...was on the initial list, referenced at the top of this thread. So it’s just Trusova and Davis/Smolkin here from Team Eteri.

I plan to make some videos but I don't know if Youtube or NBC specifically will block them right away and delete channels who dare to share that stuff, so I think I will switch to the ok.ru website and the Figure skating videos forum
There are other platforms besides the ok.ru website. I've seen links to Rumble popping up more frequently.

Does anyone ever bother understanding the lyrics?
Guess not? ;) It didn't bother me (I happen to like the song/melody and don't know the lyrics without looking them up.)

Challenge Skate Novice Men SP results/link to protocols: https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2021/30181/CAT002SEG003.html

Novice Ladies (Women) SP warming up now - starting orders/results: https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2021/30181/CAT001SEG005.html
It's a particularly strong first group (in terms of ambitious jump content - up to 3Lz for many of them).

Livestream is linked from here: https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/watch/

ETA: Garrett Lucash is the coach with Giselle Graves.

Did the stream for Novice Ladies cut off for anyone else? Now I can’t find it in the fanzine. They went away for a resurface and never came back!

I will go with 'I just died in your arms tonight' than with ANOTHER 'In this Shirt' 'To Built a Home'
I just googled the lyrics for "I just died in your arms tonight" and they seem pretty innocuous to me. I think if we want to avoid all current songs having anything to do with heartache, romantic love, affairs, etc., we won't end up with very much to choose from.

I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight is about an orgasm. Little death = orgasm. The lyrics "Ooh, aah, I just died in your arms". Come on people.

This was written by Cutting Crew lead singer Nick Van Eede, who told Songfacts it was inspired by a real relationship. Says Nick: "Yes, I cannot tell a lie. It's a song written about my girlfriend (who is actually the mother of my daughter). We got back together for one night after a year apart and I guess there were some fireworks but all the time tinged with a feeling of 'should I really be doing this?' Hence the lyric, 'I should have walked away.'

I just have issues with this at a novice level. It crossed the line for sexualization of children and programs. I don't want to be a prude but this was a line.

You know I am old enough to have had my share of orgasms and have never described them or heard them described as "little death". I think you are reaching.

For anyone wondering, Andriy Kratyuk skated to THAT song :D (kept it from last season).

At the point a kid is aware that is what that means, I think they're old enough to hear the song.
I used to have a Soft Cell album that I played and sang along to until the album warped. And it wasn't until much later I realised just how sexually explicit it was. I remember making a tape of it and on a road trip asking my aunt and uncle to play it and the shocked looks they had at the time made so much more sense when on that album there was actually an orgasm and they weren't hiding it

Urban Dictionary definition of little death

I am now wondering if this is a generation thing.
That phrase (at least the French version), with that meaning, has been around a lot longer than the Urban Dictionary. I guess I'm giving away a guilty pleasure here re: reading material, but I've seen it used in very old novels (not just current romances set in historical periods).
