The 63rd National Men's and Women's Figure Skating Type Championship was held at the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice List in Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi-do on the 15th.

This event is the last event in the 2020-21 season on ice, and was held in two years as the 62nd Figure Skating Championships last year were canceled in the aftermath of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

Lee's SP jumps were 4S, 3A with arms overhead - fall, Rippon3Lz+Ripp3T (scored 81.03 as noted above).
He won the National Ranking competition over Junhwan CHA in March (right before Stockholm Worlds) and is the leading candidate to be sent to Nebelhorn Trophy to earn a second Olympic men's spot for Korea.
