How long do we have to wait for GP assignments?

I still don't get the relationship between Kondratiuk's costume and Summertime. I'm sure it's some existential meme.
I was wondering the same thing too. But it was a nice program and we can't complain about going clean.

Ok, then. Nobody mention any other skater.

Is it the lighting or did a bunch of the men spray silver in their hair?

lol - clearly it's the lighting because I noticed the same earlier and only when they're in the Kiss 'n Cry. Maybe the tree is very reflective.

Well, Kolyada just guaranteed a rough skate in the FS. Agree with Ted about the spins - those were great! Interesting program. Given what a throwaway this season has been, I'd like to see him keep it and really develop it more during the Olympic season.

So Samarin loses to his younger teammate.

Katichev is adorable. He would have benefited from competing on the JGP this season.

Fabulous Kolyada...but we want him to be at least that great with NUREYEV free...my favorite Men’s LP of the season. Do it justice, Misha!!!

Great surprises in 2nd & 3rd - Ignatov & Kondratyuk.

They are showing the whole competition again, so I got to watch men’s SP. Kolyada was in a class by himself. There are many young Russian men. The future could be bright.

My usual policy is to make sure I watch ALL the men in an SP because no matter how unknown, one can never predict who might make it onto the podium. However, this Christmas I have poor internet at my current location & have to pause the video & wait for it to load for every skater (+every ad:p). I dawdle for a while, then come back & watch a performance. Repeat. Nonetheless, I watched every single Russian man that I could remember anything at all about. And still someone else is currently in the top three.

The men:rofl:.

This. Describes Russian men's singles perfectly. Utterly inconsistent and completely unpredictable.

Oh, Makar. To be breathing hard at the end of the short is so you.
Rukavicin taught him everything he knows. :gallopin1
9 months into the 'rona and most of the Russian coaches still don't know how to wear their masks properly.
I hope they realize that they are much more likely than their students to get severely ill if infected.

Mark Kondratiuk is ranked in the Top 60 in the world but doesn't even have an ISU profile yet. He is an Obskur Russian Skater on the brink of fame.
